Retrograde planets redefine their archetypes for a lifetime (natal), somewhat temporarily (transits and progressions), and usually in both ways. Souls will choose natal planetary retrogrades when there is an evolutionary need to let go, reflect, reconsider, and re-experience any area within their soul that resists change. All souls will receive ample opportunities to grow as the planets retrograde during transits. This lecture will define the Mercury-Pluto retrograde archetypes as we embrace these natural, geocentric cycles that help souls evolve and grow.
A thorough understanding of evolutionary astrology must include the inherent cycles represented by the journey around the zodiacal wheel. Most phases and aspects are actually related to numerical “harmonics” and as such vibrationally represent “music of the spheres”. Integrating phasal relationships allows for a natural deepening of the archetypes for the adept astrologer.
