Monthly Forecast - August 2002

Expansive, questing Jupiter enters Leo August 1 for a year-long passage of evolving our personal belief systems. What are your beliefs? Have they been conditioned upon you? What would you choose to believe if you could create your own world?

From a foundation of deeper emotional self-reliance (Jupiter’s passage through Cancer), Jupiter now asks us to go out and explore beyond our boundaries. Jupiter is back in a fire sign and it is ready to initiate. Life is full of excitement and celebration. We believe we can create our deepest desires. We believe in ourselves. We feel good about ourselves.

Jupiter in Leo will dance with Uranus and Neptune in Aquarius over the next year, bringing us lots of messages to align our will with divine will. Sparks of truth are coming out all over, where is it happening for you? How can you become a spark of divine truth?

Leonian energy is where we develop our egos. We are at the apex of the pyramid. Leo is where we learn to identify with ourselves. Our world revolves around us. Jupiter now entering Leo is renewing our sense of self. I love me!

The Sun is in Leo as well and the Evolutionary Astrology mantra is: I align my will with divine will. Jupiter joins the Sun in Leo to fully express ourselves in ever-greater awareness of the rest of the world.

As Jupiter in Leo interacts with Uranus and Neptune in Aquarius, we will have repeated opportunities to align our ego with the supreme ego – God/Goddess. It is not about destroying our ego; rather, it is realigning our egos to bring God/Goddess through us.

What divine creative spark is coming alive in you from the Ultimate Source? What do you desire to create at this point in your life? Quest to discover your deepest source of creativity.

Those souls who are full of ego with no connection to the Source may experience egoic disasters as they are given lessons in realigning with God/Goddess. Those souls who express ego as a direct connection from the Source may experience beautiful expansions of creativity and leadership.

All souls upon the planet will experience Jupiter in Leo. Lesser-evolved souls will expand self at the expense of others. Souls desiring to evolve will strive to balance self (Leo) with others (Aquarius), allowing them to blossom on their path Home.

During Jupiter’s passage through Leo, always ask if your creative desires are an expression of Ultimate Creativity. With sincere asking your separating desires will be revealed to you to be released, and your returning desires will expand and grow.

For thousands of years we have been conditioned to believe God/Goddess lies outside of us. With Jupiter in Leo we can remember that we are a spark of the Source, and ask for intuitive guidance from the Source. May you be successful.

Also on August 1, Jupiter makes a waning sesquiquadrate to Pluto retrograde at 0/1 degrees Leo – 15/16 degrees Sagittarius – the first “test” to realign our will with divine will. This minor (ha, ha) aspect is about releasing excess ego and control and merging with others. The merging is all about our beliefs.

There is an opportunity to release false truths and realign with timeless, natural truths, spiritual truths. There is tension in this aspect. Those who are trying to bulldoze their belief system on to others will find it harder to do so. We may continue to see headlines that sink our faith in our leaders, our economy and our security. We may continue to see extreme fighting in the name of righteousness.

Uranus and Neptune in Aquarius are pushing for the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Be an example of the truth as best you can. What false illusions can you release? Where do you want to convert another to agree with you in order to feel secure? What in your own belief system needs to be adjusted in regard to work, play, relationships, everything?

Sun opposes Neptune retrograde on August 1 as well at 9/10 degrees Leo-Aquarius. Here is the annual time for our deepest spiritual messages to come through. Neptune retro works to dissolve any illusions so that the most direct connection to the Source can happen.

We have been on a long journey of realizing spiritual truth with Neptune’s 12-year passage through Aquarius. Every year the Sun’s opposition to Neptune allows the next major revelation of universal spiritual laws to be revealed.

So what is happening for you on your spiritual path right now? What illusions are being brought to the light of day? What major ah has are in your face? Ask for God/Goddess to reveal your unique creative path in humanity’s soul growth.

Venus makes a waxing square to Saturn on August 2 at 25/26 degrees Virgo-Gemini. The next test in self-responsibility. Venus in Virgo has been purifying our self-love. Do you beat yourself up, or do you discern where you could love yourself more? Here is a wonderful chance to bust out of old self-defeating patterns and replace them with more self-loving patterns. The choice is yours: is your cup of love half-empty, half-full or running over with love for yourself?

Mercury then makes a waxing sextile to Saturn at 25/26 degrees Leo-Gemini on August 3. Our self-love journey this summer in the northern hemisphere just continues to evolve and grow. What are you recognizing as your creative path? Mercury is giving you all sorts of ideas. Listen to the messages coming from others, they are pointing out the doors opening.

Mercury next makes an opposition to Uranus retro on August 4 at 27/28 degrees Leo-Aquarius. The conscious mind meets the unconscious mind for major breakthroughs. Uranus retro in the latter degrees of the sign it rules asks us to de-condition in every way: physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. Mercury opposes Uranus to hear the messages.

Take time to mentally rest. Mercury opposite Uranus can blow our mental fuses with all the information coming through. Some type of physical exercise helps keep everything flowing and processing.

Pay attention to the element of repetition, showing you how to break free. Your next creative step is being revealed. What keeps coming up again and again as the path to follow? The messages are both inner and outer. May you find the courage to leave old patterns behind and initiate new ones.

Mercury is initiating the Saturn-Uranus waxing trine later this month. We are evolving our roles in society as the world rapidly changes around us.

Mars makes a waning trine to Pluto retrograde on August 5 at 15 degrees Leo-Sagittarius. Leonian energy continues to be strong all month. Here the conscious desires of the soul align with the unconscious desires of the soul. Rewards for creative work can happen here. This is where the world accepts our creative input, and where we can realize our path in harmony with the planet.

A trine aspect is very interesting. It is traditionally known as harmony and ease, and it is. However, the energy is not strong enough to create change. A trine aspect can just bring on more of the same. A waning trine asks us to share ourselves, and our creativity, with society.

Mars in Leo waning trine Pluto in Sag allows our egos to force our way on to others, and it allows us to network with the greater good of all. As always the separating and returning desires exist in the same aspect. It is our choice that creates. So again, pay attention to the opportunities in your life today. Are you imposing yourself and your desires and beliefs on the world, or co-creating with the universe?

Mercury enters Virgo on August 6 for a three-week trip. Another one of Mercury’s rulerships. As we start to enter into more Virgoian energy, we face the lesson of learning to self-purify with love or criticism. Virgo is the opposite of Pisces, and at the end of the Piscean Age, Virgo can be the epitome of the victim or the victor.

With Mercury in Virgo we can discern better choices for ourselves, or we can mentally beat ourselves up again. Here is another opportunity to create better self-talk. Let go of rigid judgements and open up to curiosity. Can you make better mental choices in how you think and speak about yourself? May you have the desire to mentally start over again and again with more loving self-talk until you do it naturally.

Next Venus enters Libra on August 7 for a four-plus week journey. Here Venus is in its element of loving others. Venus rules Libra and Taurus. Venus in Libra is the outer side of Venus, which means interactions with others. Venus wants to partner in love.

Suddenly we are interested in who is doing what with whom. How are your relationships? This fall Venus will experience a retrograde cycle in Scorpio. The relationship issues we will face then are being introduced now while Venus passes through Libra.

Venus represents the psychology of listening in Libra. Can you listen to what another has to say as much as you want to share your thoughts? Venus wants to explore all kinds of relationship ideas in order to discern who to be in relationship with, and how to be in relationship.

Venus in Libra is teaching us about equal giving and receiving. Where is the inequality in your relationships? What needs to change? Can you love yourself as much as you want another to love you? Sometimes, “no” is the best way to love another….

The Sun follows Mars and makes a waning trine to Pluto retro on August 7 at 15 degrees Leo-Sagittarius. Pluto turns stationary direct during the end of August and so the deep soul messages of moving forward are coming to clarity. Here is another opportunity to merge with society by bringing forth our unique creative role to play. How can you best help the needs of the whole? Your divine soul spark of creativity can be accepted.

The New Moon of Leo is August 8 at 16/17 degrees Leo. The annual time to express our creativity, and recognition of our divine spark. Ask how you can inwardly love yourself better here. We are so full of ourselves this month. Search for acknowledgement from the Source within. Then it will naturally be reflected outward. Initiate new ways of loving yourself.

Venus makes a waxing sextile to Jupiter on August 8 at 1-2 degrees Libra-Leo. One of the most harmonizing aspects in two of the most harmonizing signs. We are in love with love. We want to feel good about everyone and everything. Utilize this energy to move yourself forward in whatever ways you are currently facing. Be an expression of the love you want to embrace the universe.

Sun makes it biannual conjunction to Mars on August 10 at 18/19 degrees Leo. Once every two years Sun and Mars initiate a new cycle of consciously developing the desires of our soul. Leonian energy continues to be strong. What are you bursting to do this month? Where do you want to be noticed?

Most of our soul’s desires operate on very unconscious levels. Sun-Mars conjunctions are time periods when those soul desires are made conscious and we begin to achieve them. Many times we are steeped in guilt over our desires due to patriarchal conditioning over the last 5,000 plus years.

We are taught that we must take a vow of proverty from everything to become spiritual. We sense that reunion with God/Goddess is releasing all things material. We try to make unnatural leaps to do it. Natural spiritual laws and principles teach us that the tools that separate us from the Source also return us to the Source. It is by exhausting our separating desires, i.e. a new car, lover, child, etc, that we release them.

So what separating desires are you consciously aware of during this Sun-Mars conjunction in Leo? Can you achieve those desires as your path Home? Is the desire your defacto god/goddess, or is it the tool to return you Home? Denial of the desire only projects it outside of yourself.

Accept your desires. Ask God/Goddess how you can make your desires of service to your path Home. How can you exhaust your desire via accepting and achieving it? How can you make your desire of service to humanity? Somehow, when we get caught up in the desire itself for too long, evolution creates a cataclysmic leap to help us move forward.

Next Mercury makes a waning square to Pluto retrograde at 14/15 degrees Virgo-Sag on August 15. One by one the inner planets are making waning squares to Pluto, asking us to release old conditioning beliefs within our souls. Mercury gives us plenty to think about and confusion can exist here. Let go of those old beliefs that no longer work.

Venus makes a waning trine to Neptune retro on August 16 at 9/10 degrees Libra-Aquarius. Personal love merges with ultimate love. Venus is the lower, personal vibration of love, and Neptune is the higher, spiritual vibration of love. With the waning trine we learn to love the world as much as ourselves.

Venus must watch for projecting defacto god/goddess qualities onto our partners. What you desire from your partners you must find within yourself. Then you can love your partners with the highest vibrations, and they can do the same with you.

The Sun makes a waxing sextile to Saturn at 26/27 degrees Leo-Gemini on August 19. Here we are asked to take another step forward into new realities. We are learning to do our own thing. We have been moving into new conscious identities over the last 1½ years during Saturn’s passage through Gemini, and here is another boost of energy on how we want to continue forward.

Then Sun opposes Uranus at 26/27 degrees Leo-Aquarius on August 19 as well. We are searching for who we really are in this world. The outer planets in the last signs of the zodiac demand that we look at larger pictures of the world. At this point in space and time we are becoming more and more aware of our global village. What is our role to play?

Pluto retrograde is slowing down now to turn direct and the transiting South Node of the Moon (which travels retrograde) overtakes it on August 19 at 14/15 degrees Sagittarius. At this time Pluto is also opposing the North Node (of the Moon). The past is so ready to be released big time.

Lesser-evolved souls may desperately cling to the past, as feelings of insecurity become overwhelming for them. The more our souls desire to evolve the more we can realize what old, worn-out compulsions we need to let go of. The degree to which you can let go of the old right now is the degree to which you can realize the new ways to move forward.

Pluto conjunct the South Node can also be a time-period of deep fruitions of the soul. What is happening for you right now? Is the past in your face asking to be released? Or, are you finally receiving recognition for something you knew to be worthwhile and valuable to contribute?

There are many major messages that will come in at this time. Deep spiritual truths can be revealed in these middle degrees of Sag. Lesser-evolved souls can go for the religious propaganda. Both personally and collectively, our past, good and bad, is coming up into conscious awareness. We will each reap what we have sown.

This month is full of the unconsciousness being released into the light of day. No more hiding. We are all facing our soul’s deepest fears, and deepest desires. Are they one and the same?

We have a solar initiation to the three major Saturn-Uranus trines taking place over the next year. Pay attention to the messages coming through right now. You are becoming conscious of your part in the global play. You make a difference in how we move forward.

Saturn makes the first of three waxing trines to Uranus on August 21 at 26/27 degrees Gemini-Aquarius. The second waxing trine is December 16 at 25/26 degrees Gemini-Aquarius with Saturn retrograde, and the last one is June 24, 2003 at 2/3 degrees Cancer-Pisces with Uranus retrograde.

Major opportunities to break free into new realities, again, if, we make the effort. It is also easy to remain in a rut. The choices are yours this winter in the northern hemisphere.

The world is rapidly changing, again, and truth is hard to perceive sometimes. Leaders will be trying to convince us to conform to their realities. These aspects combine with three Jupiter oppositions to Neptune in Leo-Aquarius over the next year. World leaders will be sending out messages that their version of the truth is the correct one. A lot of lies can be revealed this winter, especially if we stand for the truth.

Learn to trust your intuition. Walk your talk, and it will come back to you.

We are heading into another year of many changes on the planet.

Personally Saturn waxing trine Uranus allows us to more easily de-condition from our old patterns. We can more easily step forward into new ones. We can also remain stuck in the same old way of looking at things. Utilize the energy this next year to evolve in whatever ways you would like to. Where would you like to be a year from now? Go for it.

Be peace and love. Energy is with us to merge into new societies honoring each other’s ideas. Saturn and Uranus can make steps toward peace as much as war. Which do you choose?

Venus makes a waning sextile to Pluto retro on August 21 at 14/15 degrees Libra-Sagittarius. Here is deep soul awareness of how we would like our love relationships to be. We can realize that loving others is one of our most important quests. Do you understand your next step of self-reliance so that you can equally give and receive love? Release old relating patterns.

The Full Moon of Aquarius is August 22 at 29/30 degrees Leo-Aquarius. The annual time to emotionally detach from our desires, and discern whether they come from ego or soul. We all desire to be a creative spark. We all desire to be loved and noticed.

Can you look for love from the Source? Can you look for acknowledgement from within? All during the solar month of Leo, we have been searching for our unique place in the Sun. Now we are realizing what that is. Ask for the Divine to come through you and be your creative inspiration.

The Sun enters Virgo on August 23 and the Evolutionary Astrology mantra is: I discern with intuitive wholeness. Energy now shifts to purify our desires. We are now at the base of the pyramid. We are starting the solar process of opening up our world to include others. The world does not revolve around us; we are a part of a larger picture.

We begin to realize that others want to be noticed as special and unique just like us. We are all special and unique. Sun in Virgo is a time period to begin the process of realizing this and searching for equality that includes everyone as a creative spark.

Virgo is the opposite of Pisces and here at the end of the Piscean Age it is important to rebirth the energy of Virgo. Due to patriarchal conditioning Virgo has taken on the role of victim or victor. We have bought into the illusion of a perfect god out there somewhere and the guilt of our own imperfection.

The response to our guilt is atonement of the victim or anger of the victor. We become caught up in judgment and criticism, receiving it and giving it. One of the most important, and freeing, realizations of natural spiritual laws and principles is that the Ultimate Source is an evolving force itself. Why would a perfect god create imperfection?

Perfection is a process in all areas of Creation. The reason the Unmanifest manifested was in a desire to perfect itself. God/Goddess evolves as we evolve. Life is a process of choices and experiences, choices and experiences. With each experience we learn to make better choices.

Virgo allows us to realize all the ways we are imperfect. We can then either beat ourselves up, and remain stuck, or, we can learn to unconditionally love ourselves on our path of growth. “I discern with intuitive wholeness.” As we realize an imperfection we can intuitively work to perfect it.

Some of the deepest loving and healing comes through Virgo. Pisces is unconditional love; Virgo is conditional love. Pisces teaches Virgo to open up and love the flaws to melt them away. Virgo teaches Pisces to discern that truly unconditional love is neither selfish nor selfless.

Now we take all the Leonian creativity and fine-tune it. Virgo teaches us to practice and practice, starting over again and again, until we do perfect ourselves. May you achieve another step towards perfection (the path Home) this solar month.

Mars opposes Uranus retro on August 24 at 26/27 degrees Leo-Aquarius. The desires of self versus awareness of the whole. These two planets have intense power struggles. Mars in Leo wants things its way. Uranus forces us to look at a larger picture, personally and collectively.

All Mars aspects occur about once every two years. With current world events this Mars-Uranus opposition will bring things to the surface with intensity. The balance is to allow everyone (every country) a voice. There are multiple sides to every story. How many sides can you understand?

Mercury makes the first of three waxing squares to Saturn on August 24 as well at 27/28 degrees Virgo-Gemini. We all want to be heard. Watch communications flare-ups. Again, how many sides of the story can we understand, and where is the common ground? Can you look at your situation differently? We are asked to consider new ideas, and search for new ways of communicating.

Mars then also makes a waxing sextile to Saturn on August 24 at 27/27 degrees Leo-Gemini. Energy to build the new reality foundations we desire. We can begin to understand how we are taking our creativity and expanding it, molding our clay.

The end of this month will see very interesting messages on political fronts. Watch the propaganda. Saturn waxing trine Uranus allows us to really make progress in creating new social structures. However, on a collective level, this trine aspect will have the concensus-state leaders trying to promote their own selfish agendas. Pay attention, look for the lies. Speak the truth.

Pluto finally goes stationary direct on August 25 at 14/15 degrees Sagittarius. We have completed another cycle of getting in touch with our deepest soul desires. Pluto retro is about throwing off the old separating desires within the soul. Many times this means letting go of another layer of obsessions/compulsions.

Those old soul patterns are no longer serving us, and we have been working on deep, unconscious levels to get in touch with ourselves. Most of us do not even notice a Pluto retrograde cycle. The time periods of stationary retro and stationary direct are the closest we get.

This Pluto direct is in the middle degrees of Sag. We are facing the limitations of our belief systems on the deepest levels. What is the meaning of life to you? What are your bottom line beliefs that drive you in every way? Where are you defending your old worn-out beliefs?

Answers to these questions are coming at this time. Here is the power to enlarge our circle of beliefs to include all life and all situations in the world. Are your spiritual beliefs able to acknowledge and understand all belief systems? How are you questing for a deeper connection to God/Goddess this month?

How does your soul desire to grow?

Mercury moves into Libra on August 26 for almost two months, except for a brief foray back into Virgo at the end of its next retrograde cycle. Our mind is turning to relationship issues more and more. The balancing quest begins.

Mercury likes it in Libra, the sign of balance. Mercury likes to pro and con all the details, especially in regard to relationships. Can you listen to what others in your life are saying? Libra is about listening as much as speaking. We can evolve our relationship communications to another level over the next few months.

Finally, Mars enters Virgo on August 29 for the next six weeks. The inner planets are marching into Virgo and taking this all this creativity of ours into adjustment. We are grasping our talents and then finding out how we can best serve the community.

Mars has to slow down a bit with Virgo and attend to the details. This includes taking other opinions into consideration. We can not longer charge forth as if our desires are more important than other people’s desires. We all have desires.

Mars is our conscious desires and in Virgo we look to see if we really want what we desire. We are also given the tools to take an idea and make it reality. And as always Virgoian energy battles criticism versus healing. Do you just look at what is missing in your life, or do you give thanks for what you have?

The energy we put out is what we receive. This Virgo solar month is a time period to evolve our self-talk and now with Mars in Virgo, our actions. Are you always complaining about your bad luck? What else do you expect if that is where you put your energy. How good are you at believing and energizing your blessings in every way. How many times can you say: “I am so blessed with prosperity,” or “I am so blessed in relationships”, or “I am so blessed in my creativity?”

Utilize the energy of Virgo to capitalize on Leo’s creative ideas and sense of adventure. Virgo is about healing in natural law. How are you healing yourself and your life in every way? May you be totally successful in every detail. May you be blessed and healed in every way you desire.
