The annual quest for truth begins November 21 as the Sun enters Sagittarius for the next solar month. What we believe to be “the truth” gets filtered through our belief systems, another Sag archetype. Most belief systems are conditioned by religious beliefs.

If a religious belief system tells us reincarnation does not exist, then souls will filter through the “facts” that support those beliefs and therefore those facts become truths for them. If a religious belief system tells us reincarnation does indeed exist, then the opposite will happen and souls will interpret the facts to be a truth that supports a belief in reincarnation.

Natural, spiritual laws and principles are timeless, universal truths that exist outside of any particular belief system. These natural laws and truths are always observable in nature and belong to the archetype of Sagittarius.

Stepping outside of human-made conditioning of beliefs is a journey all souls eventually embark upon in the process of evolving their souls, and returning to the Source of that from which they came. This tends to be a long journey as souls get invested in being secure, and therefore resisting any facts or truths that may challenge the current beliefs upon which their security exists.

Over the last 8,000 years we have shifted away from matriarchal principles, which were based upon, and living examples of, natural spiritual laws and principles. Nature and its creative evolutionary process were seen to be everywhere and in everyone. Inclusiveness and the interconnectedness and sacredness of all species were just a natural part of life.

For whatever reasons - part of the nature of free choice, or the long evolutionary process - the human species upon planet Earth has drifted to an extreme of patriarchal principles. These principles are based upon beliefs in exclusiveness and hierarchies, or the separation of species and cultures upon the planet. Somehow Source/God is outside of us. Patriarchal principles have moved us so far from natural laws and truths we do not even recognize them any more.

We create these belief systems and religions that we think have “the truth”, the right to superiority, and use these religious beliefs to justify our behaviors and actions in destroying the environment we share with other species. We use these beliefs to justify wars and the abuse and murder of our own species whose culture or beliefs differ from ours.

The United States of America was founded upon religious freedom and the separation of church and state. Yet in the last month’s public elections we have watched a fraction of a certain religious belief system – Christianity – utilize “facts” as truths to support certain beliefs of superiority, to exploit public fears, and to condemn and judge anyone who did not agree with them.

We have watched U.S. political leaders pose as examples of religious leaders and blur the church-state separation. We have watched them pose actual lies as truths until U.S. citizens believed the lie. Example: that Saddam Hussein had anything to do with the bombing of the World Trade Center.

Where is the real truth? The Evolutionary Astrology mantra for Sagittarius is: I understand the relativity of truth with others. There are many paths Home. There are multiple ways to get to the same place. That is our freedom of choice. We can take the famous Y in the road and wander.

Natural spiritual laws and principles, or universal, timeless truths, can be suppressed and distorted; however, they cannot be destroyed. Sooner or later real truth comes out. That is Sag’s work. As the Sun moves through Sagittarius for a month, and as Pluto moves through Sag for 13 years (1995-2008), there is opportunity for ultimate truth to be revealed.

Observation of natural law shows us there are always consequences/experiences to the choices we make. Every action creates a reaction. We call this particular natural law – karma. What goes around, comes around. What we sow, we will reap.

This extreme pendulum swing to patriarchal principles will be addressed. Nature will have the last word. Real truth will be revealed. It just may not be very pretty. The longer souls resist living in harmony with natural laws, the more intense the re-balancing will be. Those souls who choose to believe false beliefs will have their world imploded/exploded in order to face natural, timeless truths.

Your individual choice is to align yourself as much as possible to natural spiritual laws and principles. Quest this solar month for your next level of real truth to be revealed to you. To the extent that you can align yourself with natural laws, your world will be ok, even if the rest of the world crashes around you. You have the choice to create your own world. Quest again and again to harmonize with natural law.

Matriarchal principles through natural laws look for the common ground with others. It builds community. It is invested in the happiness of all concerned because then no one is left to be hurt or hurt another.

Patriarchal principles through natural laws look to create and evolve, and balance with matriarchal principles to still keep the circle spiraling. Patriarchy in and of itself does not mean being against natural spiritual laws and principles. Human souls are just currently exploiting patriarchal principles against natural laws. Both patriarchy and matriarchy are necessary for balance and exist in natural spiritual laws and principles.

Observation of natural laws shows that souls on planet Earth exist at different levels of evolution or consciousness. This is observed through the degree in which the desire to separate from the Source that created us is manifesting stronger than the desire to return to that which has created us.

We have all observed souls who wish for the wealth of the material world and those who wish for enlightenment, and the many variations in-between. Again, the free choice to separate and return as we each desire.

The more a soul desires to return to that which created it, the more it desires truth. When the desire to know God/Goddess is strong enough, any limitations in our belief structures will be exposed to us. How strong is your desire?

Sagittarius is the opportunity to evolve our beliefs. Where do you find frustrations in your view of the world? This is where to look for clues in the limitations of your beliefs. Quest for truth. Ask for your own personal limitations of understanding to be revealed to you.

As the Sun moves through Sag this month, we encounter the area known as intuition, or our ability to know something without knowing how we know it. It is where we tap into a higher consciousness than our own, merge with it and reach a deeper understanding than we had before. May you be successful.

Venus enters Scorpio on for three weeks on November 22, working to catch up with the inner planets. Venus is in the opposite sign of one of its rulerships (Taurus) here. As the Venusan/Taurean archetype is all about our essential needs or inner needs, Venus will finish up those Scorpio lessons of recognizing where we are projecting our needs onto others.

Venus in Scorpio desires to merge in order to get its needs met. It all depends upon the degree of co-dependency and projection of responsibility upon others to meet those needs. An insecure Venus in Scorpio can be quite manipulating and/or needy. Either way, powerful or powerless, partners can sense their own energy zapped from them.

Healthy Venus in Scorpio seeks to empower self and then empower others. This Venus wants to meet its own essential needs and then show others how to do the same. This then leads to deep soul merging because there are no agendas, only deep desires to give, which ensures both partners will get their actual needs met.

The Sun makes a waning square to Uranus on November 24 at 2/3 degrees Sag-Pisces. Insights of truth can come here. Uranus desires to de-condition and expose our illusions. Sun in Sag can help us understand the deep, unconscious wounding coming to the surface. Allow it to come up so you can gain another level of freedom with new understandings of how these old wounds control you.

There can be continued, lingering depressions from the U.S. elections as souls realize how many can buy into false truths. One of Sag’s lessons is learning to speak at the level where another can actually understand you. Instead of your own judgments about the stupidity of the U.S. voters, do your part to teach instead of preach. Where can this take place for you?

Can you expose the deeper truths in such a way that another can actually hear you and understand? When we judge others we exclude them. When we understand where their soul is at, we can open the door for them to grow. Venus makes a waning trine to Uranus on November 24 at 2/3 degrees Scorpio-Pisces. Deep emotional understandings or illusions can take place here. Waning trines always involve others, the public and collective. Venus-Uranus can also be the partner and emotional surprises.

Check in to see where you would rather buy into an illusion (false truth) about you and your partner or friends or workmates, especially on emotional levels. Ask for emotional truth. If you are really making an effort to get this emotional self-reliance lesson, then deep bonding can take place with Venus-Uranus. And oh, what insights about love that can bring.

The Full Moon of Gemini is November 26 at 4/5 degrees Sagittarius-Gemini. Truth or lies. We could see some sparks of truth coming out here. Or the debate about it. This is the annual time to expose any limitation of beliefs.

Wherever your beliefs may be, Gemini can always find a different way of looking at things. Sometimes this is quite necessary when we cling to our old thought patterns and beliefs in order to be secure. There is always another level to understand. Make the effort. Take up the conversations about life. Evolve your own beliefs on that never-ending spiral of understanding more and more.

Jupiter makes the first of three waning trines to Neptune at 12/13 degrees Libra-Aquarius on November 29 (see below). The next two waning trines take place March 14 and August 17 of 2005. These two planets synchronize quite nicely for the most part. The Sun is also in Jupiter’s sign of rulership this month, so Jupiter is strong here and wants to get Neptune’s intuitive messages.

Trine aspects though can be those “couch potato” aspects – change sounds nice but it is just too easy to be lazy and remain stuck wherever we are. We must consciously make the effort to change with this aspect, and luckily we get three chances to do so over the next year.

Jupiter relates to individual belief systems while Neptune refers to the collective conscious/unconsciousness, or the collective belief systems. Jupiter rules Sagittarius so all those archetypes above are interacting with the Neptune in Aquarius desire to de-condition.

That desire to remain secure though can take the subtle, easy trine aspect and ignore the messages.

An example of Jupiter in Libra waning trine Neptune in Aquarius is the statewide election decisions in the U.S. that marriage can only be between a man and a woman. The attempt to legislate (Jupiter) morality (Neptune). Lesser-evolved Aquarius falls back to Saturn (its old ruler) and Capricorn. The imposition of one group’s beliefs (Jupiter) on the collective (Neptune).

What about the possibility of loving another soul first regardless of its gender? This is the ultimate message of homosexuality. How does this impact your own beliefs? Your individual choice and belief may be heterosexual love, yet does this give you a right to impose your beliefs upon anyone else? Jupiter in Libra waning trine Neptune in Aquarius is looking at this issue and all its possible variations.

The suppression of natural sexuality in all its many forms for thousands of years via religious beliefs will be released in the coming Aquarian Age. Neptune in Aquarius is dissolving the traditional family unit in some ways. The individual family unit will remain due to the natural two species, yet the human species is capable of many variations in relationships.

What about reincarnating souls meeting again in the same gender and feeling deep love for each other? What about souls who avoid incarnating in both genders, building up lessons in one gender, and by evolutionary necessity forced to come through in a specific gender they then try to avoid?

Jupiter in Libra gets to ponder these love lessons. Neptune in Aquarius brings shocking messages relative to patriarchal-conditioned religious beliefs and its' narrow standards of right/wrong conduct. Waning trines can create powerful backlash to maintain the collective status quo.

How many souls would like to be held to the “till death do us part” commitment of many religious beliefs about marriage? Would you really like a religion to legislate your country?

In many countries women still have no rights at all except those their husbands give them. At one point in the U.S. it was illegal for different races (i.e. blacks and whites) to marry. This is just a glimpse of the many ways to love that Jupiter in Libra gets to ponder, with a little help from Neptune in Aquarius over the next year.

Mercury in Sagittarius is in the opposite sign of one of its rulerships - Gemini.

When Mercury is in right-brain Sag, it is asked to let go of its left-brain obsessions and open up to intuition. When it is retrograde in Sag, it gets to go back and pick up any details to help fill in the larger picture, as we may not have grasped the entire situation in the first place. Like maybe some election review, or more facts, real truths, about the U.S. election coming out.

Again, we tend to gravitate toward the information, or interpretation of facts, that support our current beliefs. Any planet retrograde in Sag is about reviewing our belief systems for that planetary archetype. With Mercury it’s the details, communications, the lies, or the actual truth about anything. What the mass media tells us is happening versus what really is happening. Telling us there was no election fraud, when there may have been, yet brushing it off, not wanting to search for the real truth.

What keeps popping up into your head on any certain subject in your life right now, that you thought you knew what was going on, and now you are not so sure? Take another look at it during Mercury retro.

Mercury the planet of communications always needs to make time to talk it out, several times, during its retrograde cycle. First Mars makes a waning square to Neptune on November 30 at 13 degrees Scorpio-Aquarius. Opportunities to dissolve old power structures, collectively and individually. Watch out for the arguments over who is right and who is wrong. As much as Mars in Scorpio wants to cling to power, Neptune in Aquarius will have the final word.

This just might be the time that your “rugs get ripped out underneath” your relationships. Especially, if you are still trying to cling to those unequal ways of giving and receiving to partners and friends.

The Sun makes a waning sextile to Neptune at 13/14 degrees Sag-Aquarius on December 4. The Sun gets involved in shedding a bit of light on these relationship situations. Whatever we want to emotionally cling to, the Sun can help us understand from a different point of view in order to make the necessary changes.

The Sun then makes a waxing sextile to Jupiter at 13/14 degrees Sagittarius-Libra on December 5. There is a need for truth, absolute truth in relationship situations and communications. Find the courage to speak your truth as best as you know it. Listen to what others have to say as their truth.

Is there common ground from which to grow? Or is it time to agree to disagree? We cannot force others to love us, or force our love upon another. We can love ourselves, better and better, and self-give that which we would like to receive.

All the inner planets through Sagittarius will pass the midpoint between Jupiter in Libra and Neptune in Aquarius. This creates a chance for truth to be exposed through these subtle, let’s “stay in our illusion” energies.

Venus makes a conjunction to Mars on December 5 at 16/17 degrees Scorpio. Death and rebirth in love. Deep soul merging. Being left alone in the pain of our co-dependency. Pluto’s rulership of Scorpio insists on evolution regardless of how much we try to resist. Evolution takes place through the emotional body.

Do your best to learn your relationship lessons here. It is two years before the next Venus-Mars conjunction and that one will be in Scorpio as well. However intense the desire for any type of revenge may be, channel the energy into loving yourself. Walk away if necessary or you will just prolong the karmic ties.

The intent of this Venus-Mars conjunction in Scorpio is to merge on deep soul levels and find God/Goddess through sexuality. It can be the best or the worst, those Scorpio extremes of all or nothing. Remember the Taurus self-reliance opposite – we can only give and receive love to the extent we self-love, including sex.

When we can deeply self-love, then we can release the fears of others controlling us or the need to control another, and deep soul merging can take us to the next level of merging with Source. We can also release any relationships that have come to the end of the lessons.

Mercury retro makes the second of three conjunctions to Pluto at 21/22 degrees Sag on December 7. The need for truth comes through very strongly here. Speak truth and ask for truth in return. What we give we receive. When we stand in the deepest level of truth we know, then that is what will come back to us regardless of how another may try to lie.

This is mental review time, so where is your soul clinging to old beliefs that need to be purged? A walk in nature may do wonders in bringing clarity.

The inferior conjunction of Mercury retrograde to the Sun occurs on December 10 at 18/19 degrees Sagittarius. Answers, answers. First Pluto then the Sun. Mercury is getting to the bottom line, the essence of what is real. What personal lies can you peel away?

Energize the deepest level of truth to be revealed, in your personal life and the recent U.S. elections. Watch what comes forth at this time. The majority of souls are so caught up in patriarchal conditioning they cannot even recognize what is real. Or will not, because to go for the truth shatters their pretty world.

Remember that as you gravitate to natural laws as best as you can understand them, then you become safer and safer during the culmination of these Piscean Age times. Remember, natural law, nature, will have the last word. The more you can return to nature, the safer you will be.

The New Moon of Sagittarius is December 11 at 20/21 degrees. Amazing insights can come through for us at this time. There is a concentration of energy desiring to expose natural spiritual laws and principles. This is the month to quest for truth. Go for it.

When any emotional insecurities arise, carry on the conversations with God/Goddess. Ask why again and again until answers start to come. Your intuition is evolving by leaps and bounds. The ability to understand things on deeper levels is in the midst of all these aspects. So is the opportunity to receive the visions of where your soul desires to really go.

Mercury retrograde makes the second of three waxing sextiles to Jupiter on December 12 at 15/16 degrees Sagittarius-Libra. And it continues on. Here the left-brain and right-brain keep bringing forth new understandings. Mercury is quite active in this retrograde cycle, and these two planets are always going back and forth from opposing each other in the natural zodiac.

Mercury is in Jupiter’s sign, and Jupiter is in Libra, so relationship insights are strong. All souls have a tendency to recreate the past in order to be secure, so make the effort to go forth into new relationship territory. Is there another way to look at all your relationship issues, giving and receiving issues?

Oh, ya, and have yet another conversation with whomever you are working to grow with. If souls must continually make the effort to release old patterns and create new owns, to evolve, doesn’t it seem only natural to have those conversations with others again and again as we try to understand things differently?

Venus makes a waxing trine to Saturn retrograde at 26/27 degrees Scorpio-Cancer on December 13. This is opportunity to evolve our self-reliance issues as Saturn moves through its last retro cycle in Cancer. Watch out for control tendencies. They are only covering up insecurities.

Saturn through Cancer has created some strong nationalism, which is actually patriarchal fear of others based upon power lying outside of us. With natural laws another choice could be to create a sense of community with everyone. Whenever souls of different beliefs and cultures have taken the time to get to know each other personally, common ground has always been found.

How can you create this with your neighbors, your own community and enlarge the circle from there?

Venus in Scorpio can be quite possessive when insecure and very empowering of others when it exists within. A healthier world starts with ourselves, then our family, then our community, and then enlarging our sense of community until it encompasses the entire world. We must start somewhere.

The Sun makes its annual conjunction to Pluto December 13 as well at 22/23 degrees Sag. The chance to again rebirth our beliefs another step closer to natural laws and principles. Mercury never leaves Neptune’s orb of interacting as it turns direct December 19/20 and makes a third waning sextile on December 26, so let the end of the calendar year be a time of reflection. Let it lead you to new ideas, new beliefs, and new awakenings. Ask for it. Ask God/Goddess what it is you need to understand.

Truth will always be revealed to you when you ask sincerely enough and open up to know the real thing. Find your inner child and all the curiosity about the world you once went for. Try it again.

Venus enters Sagittarius on December 16 for a three-week journey and heightens the possibility for deep personal understandings. What are your ah ha’s toward the end of this solar month?

Jupiter, Sagittarius and the 9th house are where we can compensate on the ultimate truths about ourselves, usually in order to be secure. It means a need to quest for absolute inner truth, and then walking our talk. Venus in Sag can bring about the understandings of where we tend to gloss over life and its issues.

When emotional self-reliance is our foundation, it creates a powerful strength and creative force. What we emotionalize we create. Our emotions are the bottom line in manifesting anything. Take the time to look at your outer world and see how it lines up with your emotional state.

If you do not like your manifestations, then look to the emotions creating them. Mars in Scorpio is totally about desires, which are emotionally based. Mars is many times the leading edge of our separating desires. Do you like what you are creating? What needs to change?

This is another time period for those major insights to come through. Ask for them. Another layer of lies can be revealed and so can the truth that exists beneath.

As souls evolve, we continually strive to align ego with soul. That has been the lesson this Sag month and this Mercury in Sag retro cycle. Our soul desires truth whether ego realizes it or not.
