Monthly Forecast - July 2002
July offers us many opportunities to make new emotional beginnings: with ourselves, in our personal relationships and
in our relationship with the world.
We are also required to make those adjustments that bring more equality in our interactions with others. Jupiter and
Saturn both make waxing minor aspects to Uranus this month. The messages keep popping up that we cannot keep forcing our
way upon everyone else, personally and collectively. We are asked to take the needs of the whole into consideration first
and then contribute according to our unique role to play in our communities and relationships.
US citizens are blessed to have more freedom and choices in fulfilling creative desires than anywhere else in the world.
Along with that has come the assumption that our way is the best way and we can tell others what to do. Our country faces
lessons of learning how to be an equal in our global community.
The desire to separate from the Source creates the desires of ego expression in every way without consideration of anyone
else. Me first. The desire to return to the Source creates the desires to find love and reunion in all that we encounter.
We are all one.
Every soul on the planet comes back again and again exhausting their separating desires, until eventually the desire to
return to the Source is the stronger desire and finally the only desire left.
July offers all of us another opportunity to realize exactly where we are on that path to return. And, another opportunity
to love ourselves unconditionally, as we figure out we are not quite home yet.
The Sun is in Cancer and the Evolutionary Astrology mantra is: I grow emotionally with self-responsibility. This is the
annual time to learn how to love ourselves better so that we may participate in the world as a mature, self-responsible
individual. Evolution of our souls takes place through our emotional bodies.
So here is the time we learn how emotionally wounded and co-dependent we really are. Patriarchal conditioning over the
last 5,000 plus years has created victimized societies, and therefore families, all over the planet, who then lash out to
hurt back and perpetuate an endless cycle of pain and hatred.
We have been conditioned to believe in an angry, male, perfect god who exists outside of ourselves, judging us through
narrow standards of right and wrong. So we keep looking for love and approval outside of ourselves, the separating desire
to find it outside.
Natural spiritual laws and principles teach a loving, compassionate, evolving God/Goddess within. Love is found within us,
and then it is reflected/expressed outward. There are many paths Home, and each path that teaches us to love ourselves
better will get us where we desire to ultimately go.
Life is choices and experiences, choices and experiences. And through our experiences we learn to make better choices in
finding our path Home.
So Sun in Cancer shows us where we are looking for love on the outside instead of learning to love ourselves. This is where
we become aware of the wounded love stories our families of origin have passed on for generations. Here is the chance to
heal the love wounds and create new family love stories.
Where do you still blame your parents for your problems? Where do you still project your love needs onto your partner?
Where do you still carry your families’ love wounds? The Cancerian archetype teaches us emotional self-reliance, meaning
we are responsible for loving ourselves no matter what our love story is or is not. May you be successful in loving
yourself better and better.
Mercury makes a conjunction to Saturn on July 2 at 21/22 degrees Gemini. Mental self-responsibility. You are responsible
for yourself in every way. Where do you want to blame? It is a part of yourself you do not accept yet. Can you look in
the mirror? Can you listen to what another is saying to you?
Here is the chance to mentally shift into greater acknowledgement and realization that we each create our own reality. If
you do not like your reality, then where can you change your thoughts that have created those old realities?
Bless that Geminian energy that can shift things in the blink of an eye when we make the effort. Utilize Mercury-Saturn to
create the reality you want. Change your attitude – change your world.
Venus then comes along July 3 and makes a waxing sextile to Saturn at 21/22 degrees Leo-Gemini bringing opportunities to
love ourselves better, and actually take responsibility to do so. Becoming responsible for our life can create such a good
feeling about ourselves. It is natural to love yourself.
Watch for the old pattern of wanting to persuade another to love you where you could be learning to love yourself. Venus
waxing sextile Saturn gives energy to building love relationships that can last, especially when the foundation is emotional
self-reliance and self-sufficiency.
Next Mars makes a conjunction to Jupiter on July 3 at 23/24 degrees Cancer. This is a two-year cycle of acting upon our
beliefs. Mars, the planet of conscious desires, and Jupiter, the planet of personal beliefs, unite to decide what beliefs
we will act upon. It is a natural time to set a new two-year course of walking our talk.
The theme this time is Cancerian lessons of love and family, and emotional self-reliance. Most of us are either falling
deeper into the path of victimization or waking up to realizing we need to take care of ourselves.
Collectively Mars and Jupiter are just as involved as the other outer planets in playing war games. Here is more energy
to believe our way is the right way. Here we can create the belief that hurting another’s family will protect our own
family, perpetuating the endless cycle of killing to create peace.
Mars-Jupiter reunions in Cancer also give us the opportunity to realize that making love not war is what will really
create peace. You do make a difference. How can you act in more loving ways to those in your world? What can you do to
create peace in yourself, and in your family?
These are dangerous times we live in. We could all be gone from this playground at any moment. The messages from the
outside reflect how wounded our species really is. What is really important? Again, where can you heal yourself? Your
family is no accident. You chose it for a reason, a lesson to learn. Face the lesson; heal yourself and your part in your
family. It will collectively move us one step closer to Home. May you be successful.
On July 6 Mercury makes a waxing sextile to Uranus retrograde at 28/29 degrees Gemini-Aquarius. A wonderful time for
insights. It is easy for the conscious mind to receive messages from the deep, unconscious part of our self.
Pay attention. We will also just want to rehash the same old mental arguments, and the message is to learn something new
about ourselves. Where can you learn to look at your current life situations differently?
Mercury then enters Cancer on July 7 for a quick two-week passage. Our thoughts are turning to our emotional situations.
Where are we feeling emotionally insecure? Mercury may stir up our feelings, and we can utilize this mental input to
understand and solve our emotional upheavals. Where can I love myself better?
Venus opposes Uranus retro on July 9 at 28/29 degrees Leo-Aquarius. We may create a few more emotional upheavals if we are
stuck in co-dependency. Venus-Uranus oppositions bring our relationship issues up into our face. If we are dependent upon
love outside of ourselves then this opposition will show us where we need to love ourselves better.
Equality is the name of the game. We may also be faced with our partners showing us where giving and receiving love is not
equally based. Give what you would like to receive.
We may also experience the blossoming of love as we learn to express the gift of accepting and loving another as they are.
Insights that will help our love relationships grow and evolve may manifest here. May you love yourself and others fully
and equally. Make an effort to balance in whatever ways are made known to you.
The New Moon of Cancer is July 10 at 18 degrees Cancer. Our annual time to rebirth our love for ourselves in
evermore-meaningful ways. The Moon is in its element here and the Sun magnifies whatever emotions we are experiencing.
And, again, the ultimate Cancerian energy is emotional self-reliance.
Here are the messages to love ourselves completely and unconditionally no matter what. You chose your family for the love
lessons you could learn from them. You choose your partners for the love lessons you can learn from them. You are not a
victim. You will keep repeating your love lessons until you learn them.
Love yourself, as you would like another to love you.
Venus moves into Virgo on July 10 for a four-week journey. Venus is leading the personal planets these days. Venus in
Leo allowed us to fully express our self-love. Now we must merge that self-love with love for others.
Venus in Virgo teaches us where we can heal the wounds of our ego. In our patriarchal-conditioned world Virgo gets a bad
rap. It is the critical, judgmental voice that only notices our imperfections and what we do wrong. This is a reflection
of a patriarchal god beating us up via dogmatic religions in order to control us.
Virgo is also the healer. Through natural, spiritual laws Venus in Virgo brings us our humiliations to the ego in order to
merge with the rest of the world as an equal. There is also a gentle voice that teaches us to unconditionally love
ourselves through the lessons.
Where can Venus in Virgo allow you to be more loving and gentle with yourself? Life is like a tennis lesson and Virgo
teaches us to pick up the ball and try again and again until we can play the game. The energy that continually criticizes
can also continually support. What is your choice?
Mars then enters Leo for a seven-week passage on July 13. Now it is Mar’s turn to participate in our creative
self-expression. Mars is back in a fire sign so it is comfortable here. This is excellent energy to help us decide what
we want to do in the world.
Those who could use a boost of self-worth may utilize Mar’s passage through Leo to make that effort they are so afraid to
take. Those who carry an overdose of self-importance may initiate things; however, they may not be able to sustain it.
Jupiter and Saturn are moving closer and closer to aspects with Uranus retro later this month that teach us to participate
in the world as an equals. Mars in Leo can bring great leadership potential. May we strive to ask what our communities
and the world really need to evolve the planet, rather than just imposing our desires upon others.
Mars passage through Leo allows us to find acknowledgment of our unique creativity from within ourselves. It is when we
look for accolades inwardly from the Ultimate Source, rather than the outside world, that we actually shine for all
to see.
The Sun then makes a conjunction to Jupiter on July 19 at 27/28 degrees Cancer. This is the beginning of an annual
cycle to live our beliefs. Here we are initiating new belief systems based upon our evolving emotional life experiences.
The next few days bring us repeated messages and insights concerning our beliefs about home, family and our community of
support. This month is excellent for healing family of origin wounds, or just repeating them again. What is your choice?
What do you believe about our global village? If you desire peace, do you believe in peace? Do you think and feel
peace? Or, do you just talk about the problems and dumb people in other countries or states?
All these inner planets joining Jupiter in Cancer create our emotions and feelings about the world, and what we put
emotional energy into we create. So, what are you choosing to emotionally energize?
The next day on July 20 Mercury conjuncts Jupiter at 27/28 degrees Cancer. More of the same. The left-brain and the
right-brain are merging here on very emotional levels. In so many ways we are realizing that it is our emotions that
take things from the energetic world into physical manifestation. Where are you at emotionally? Are you a part of the
problem or a part of the solution?
Natural laws are the same for our personal world and our global village. Work to create emotional peace within yourself
first. Then figure out how to share it in your personal relationships and with your family and friends. This will
vibrationally help us take it out to the world.
Mercury makes a superior conjunction to the Sun on July 20 at 27/28 degrees Cancer. Here are the solutions and ah ha’s
to the Mercury retrograde cycle in Gemini during May-June. Those of us who are choosing to live in a world of love can
create it.
The Sun and Mercury are crossing over Jupiter during its final weeks in Cancer. The messages to love are repeated again
and again. Those wishing to remain in co-dependency will find the world does not support and love them. They will
repeat the lessons yet again.
Those souls who wish to learn emotional self-reliance are getting great opportunities to do so. What is your next step
in loving yourself?
Mercury then moves into Leo on July 21 for another quick two-week passage. We have had our chance to deepen our
self-love. Now we need to move on to creative self-expression. Our ability to express ourselves is a reflection of our
self-love.
When we look for love outside of ourselves then we see the outside world as brighter and more creative than we are. When
our source of love is the Ultimate Source from within ourselves then we realize our creativity is endless.
What are the thoughts you are having about yourself these days? What creative ideas are surfacing? Do you want to tell
your story? Can you listen to another’s story as well?
The Sun follows Mercury into Leo on July 22. The Evolutionary Astrology mantra is: I align my will with divine will.
Here is our annual time to creatively express ourselves. The expression of our soul through our ego comes forth. It is
the classic choice of our ego leading the way or our soul.
We have a tendency to think we are the source of our creativity. When that is our belief system then the Universe brings
us roadblocks until we realign ourselves with the ultimate source of creativity: God/Goddess.
When we are aligned with the separating desires we sooner or later reach a dead end and disappointment, or the exhaustion
of the desire with dissatisfaction still there. When we are aligned with the returning desires we find our source of
creativity to be endless, and a deep sense of satisfaction as creativeness comes and goes, leaving us ever closer to the
Source.
The quest this next solar month is to ask for the Divine Will to come through our will. Ask how your creative desires
and needs may be fulfilled through healing the planet. All work is divine and creative when it is an expression of love
for one another.
Jupiter makes a waxing inconjunct to Uranus retrograde on July 23 at 27/28 degrees Cancer-Aquarius. This is a Virgo
aspect of adjustment and compromise. Here our personal belief systems are asked to take a larger picture of truth into
consideration.
Jupiter in Cancer wants security. Uranus in Aquarius lets us know that we are not secure unless everyone is. Jupiter
in Cancer wants to protect our own family or countries’ interests. Uranus in Aquarius lets us know that others families
and countries wish to do the same. There is a message here that the global village must give all families the same basic
rights.
What we use to believe about being safe and secure no longer works. We are personally being asked to see a larger
picture of our immediate world. Uranus is passing through the final degrees of Aquarius and it is bringing up the rest
of the reality shocks for all of us. Jupiter in the final degrees of Cancer asks us to once again realign our family
beliefs and values.
Where are you receiving messages of awareness from your unconsciousness? How does this ask you to reevaluate your family
situations? How is your personal belief system evolving yet again? What emotional changes do you need to make to be at
peace in your world?
The Full Moon of Aquarius is July 24 at 1-2 degrees Leo-Aquarius. This is the annual time to become aware of the world
that surrounds us and how we uniquely fit into it. Here the Sun is in its element and the Moon provides some emotional
detachment to look at things clearly.
We have the potential to shine with full awareness of our part in the whole. Allow your creative ideas to come forth
and discern which ones will work for you now. May you be an expression of the Creative Source through you. May you
acknowledge the Creative Source expressed through others.
Venus makes a waning square to Pluto retrograde on July 24 as well at 15/16 degrees Virgo-Sagittarius. Here is the
chance to let go of those old relationship beliefs and patterns that no longer serve you.
Venus faces a crisis in self-reliance again. We cannot expect someone else to take care of our own needs. We are
shown the ways to meet those needs ourselves. Relationship disappointments now represent the ways in which we are
projecting our love needs on to another. What changes are you becoming aware of in order to love yourself better?
Mercury then conjuncts Mars on July 25 at 7/8 degrees Leo. Yes, we want to shine and we want others to notice what
we say and do. How can you express your creative ideas as a message of natural laws and principles? Your words and
actions count. Are they for your own desires at the expense of others?
Neptune retrograde interacts with Mercury and Mars over the next few days. Next Mercury makes an opposition to Neptune
on July 26 at 9/10 degrees Leo-Aquarius. Here we can get a glimpse of higher truth. Are you willing to hear what is
being said, or do you just want to hear yourself speak?
Neptune retro in Aquarius brings up messages of truth on the deepest levels. Mercury-Mars opposite can make these
realizations personally relevant for each of us. We can also fight and refuse to listen to what is being revealed to us.
Ask for your deepest level of truth to be revealed to you. Then find the courage to express it and act upon it.
Mars makes an opposition to Neptune retrograde on July 28 at 9/10 degrees Leo-Aquarius. Another opportunity to align our
will with divine will. The end of July brings lessons of adjusting and realigning to higher powers. Here we will be faced
with lessons of honesty as well.
Mars-Neptune can represent power struggles and manipulations. It can also allow for the power of the Universe to manifest
through us. The choices are yours. Are you feeling anger because things are not the way you would like them to be? Are
you trying to color things to your point of view? Is the universe asking you to consider another way? Can you?
We have the chance here with Mercury-Mars opposite Neptune retro to be a voice and leader of higher truth. We can realize
that everyone has a voice of truth. We can learn that what we give we will receive.
We can also learn to intuit what is truth and what is a lie. We may also find at this time that leaders of countries,
including the US, are telling us what they want us to hear, and what they want us to do. They may also be telling us one
thing while they do another.
These are still times of major wakeup calls. We may be told that war is necessary for peace and security. Oil, ruled by
Neptune, is still a major player in US involvement in the Middle East. May the lies by all leaders be revealed at this
time.
Mercury then makes a waning sextile to Pluto retro on July 29 at 15/16 degrees Leo-Sagittarius. This can play into the
lies as well as the truth being revealed. Be personally responsible for yourself. As long as you are completely honest
with yourself and others, lies cannot exist in your world. Walk your talk. Energetically others will have to do the same
in their encounters with you. Lies will be revealed to you when you are always honest with the world.
Finally Saturn makes a waxing sesquiquadrate to Uranus retrograde on July 29 at 24/25 degrees Gemini – 9/10 degrees
Aquarius. Our realities must adjust to a larger picture of the truth again. This is an aspect that requires us to get
out of our egos and make the necessary changes to merge with others in the world as equals.
Here is an opportunity to realize the ways to adjust and do that. Here is also the chance for power struggles when we
still want to be in control. Neither Saturn nor Uranus wants to give up the control and power. Ask where you can
surrender to a higher truth again.
Saturn represents the conscious mind and Uranus is the unconscious mind. Our individuated consciousness is asked to
take in information coming up from the unconsciousness. It tends to come up as shocking information when we are in
resistance. Where can you feel yourself resisting in life? How can you let go and open up?
We can also receive the messages on how to move forward. Again, can you shift and grow? Can you listen to the voice
within pointing the direction Home? It is always there within us when we can be still and listen. Gemini is helpful to
Saturn in making whatever changes are necessary in our realities. Your next step of growth is waiting for you to take it.
Go for it.
We will receive repeated messages all during this month, and the next, on where we each need to change and grow. You will
find the themes in your mind again and again. Your soul’s connection to God/Goddess will not ease up and let you slide by.
Change is what we will all do this summer. Break free from your patterns of the past.
We have spent much of July learning how to love ourselves better. Then we were asked to renew our creative expression in
the world in ways that are supportive to the needs of the whole. And throughout all of this we have been asked again and
again to adjust our beliefs, thoughts and feelings in order to open up to a larger picture of our world. May you be
successful in your quest.
As deeper and deeper levels of truth are revealed to you, may you easily change and grow and go with the flow. May you
vibrate to a world of love and peace. It is ours for the choosing. Give thanks for being love and peace, and an
example of the way it is.
