Monthly Forecast - March 2003

The world continues to hold its collective breath, wondering how the U.S. will act in the weeks and months ahead. The ax always falls on the tallest tree, and America’s reputation is facing a major fall internationally. The superpower has become the bully.

Uranus is passing through its final days in Aquarius, the sign it rules. It has spent the last seven years there, de-conditioning whatever it could. The last few months have brought many insights into our consciousness, individually and collectively.

The world of matter comes from the world of energy. Will we energize peace or war? The Aquarian Age revolution is: you make the difference. Those who show up make the rules.

What if we had a Department of Peace in the U.S. that was funded dollar per dollar equal to the Defense budget? The United Nations recently stated that $200 million was needed for schools and clean water in Afghanistan. Only $16 million is in the fund. Compare this with estimates of $100-$200 billion for a United States war with Iraq.

Energize a Department of Peace. Ask for it. Speak out about it. You are alive at this moment on the planet for a reason.

The Sun is in Pisces and the Evolutionary Astrology mantra is: I am in wholeness with my reality. Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac and it includes everything. This is the solar month we can realize that we are all one. Sometimes this realization is too much and Piscean energy just wants to escape reality. What is the broadest reality you can accept?

Visualize your own family healthy, happy and safe. Visualize the homeless in your community healthy, happy and safe. Visualize the citizens of other countries healthy, happy and safe. Pisces teaches us we are all connected to each other. Visualize the leaders of every country healthy, happy and safe.

Patriarchal conditioning has reached extremes during the last 2,000 years of the Piscean Age. We have been conditioned for thousands of years to believe that there is a perfect male god judging us for our imperfections. This has created guilt so deep and unconscious we cannot even recognize it. We only know the victimization (atonement) and victorization (anger) in response to the guilt.

The solar months of Aquarius and Pisces, Neptune - the ruler of Pisces - in Aquarius, Uranus - the ruler of Aquarius - moving from Aquarius to Pisces, and the transition from the Piscean to the Aquarian Age are converging to allow awareness of this patriarchal conditioning.

It creates realities of war, superiority and inferiority, and a belief of exclusiveness. When Pisces cannot hold the energy of oneness it becomes the victim or the victor. Both Aquarius and Pisces, at the end of the zodiac, teach us about brotherhood, sisterhood, community and oneness.

The global community is facing the growing pains of understanding that there is one Source/God in many manifestations, religions and spiritual beliefs, or we will destroy ourselves. Where do you choose to put your energy?

Venus enters Aquarius on March 2 for almost four weeks. Here we can learn to love our community. Venus in Aquarius detaches and practices the ideal of love. How can you put it into practice?

Where are you being tested to love? Can you hold your balance of self, which is neither selfish nor selfless, and reach out in love in your immediate environment? Energize the oppressed loved and happy. Now energize the ones who push your buttons loved and happy. Create equality in your love environments.

The New Moon of Pisces is March 2 at 12/13 degrees Pisces; the annual time to love the world, and ourselves; a time to unconditionally love ourselves. Patriarchal conditioning is based upon a perfect god with impossible standards to live up to. Why would something perfect create this mess?

Natural spiritual laws and principles teach us that the Universal Source is an evolving force. This Pisces New Moon is a time to initiate unconditional love for yourself as you grow and evolve. Repeat again and again, from New Moon to Full Moon: I love me! Can you continue every day of the year? I love me!

Mars makes a waning sextile to Uranus on March 3/4 at 29/30 degrees Sagittarius-Aquarius. A waning aspect in the ending degrees of these signs can bring awareness of larger pictures happening. Mars doesn’t usually get along with Uranus. At their best behaviors, we can have wonderful insights as to what motivates us. Where can you make an effort to relate better with others?

Mercury makes a conjunction to Uranus on March 4 at 29/30 degrees Aquarius. The beginning of March brings lots of insights and ah ha’s. Here the conscious mind meets the unconscious mind in the last degree of Aquarius. Pay attention to the insights you receive. Things that have been bothering you may be understood this week.

Mars moves into Capricorn on March 4 for a seven-week journey. Mars has moved from a fire sign, in which it feels comfortable, and impulsive, to goal-oriented practical energy and controlling energy. Mars want to be in charge in Capricorn. It wants to lead.

Mars in Capricorn likes to control things to feel secure. The lesson is to trade outer-security for inner security, and then we can be secure no matter what. Where do you want to have your way? What buttons are getting pushed? How can you realize your outer world is a reflection of your inner world?

Take responsibility for yourself. Nurture yourself (Cancer is the opposite of Capricorn). The more you love yourself the less you have to control things. What goals are practical for you right now? Do they support you emotionally?

Mercury then moves into Pisces on March 4 as well for its quick, 2-1/2 week passage. Intuition is very strong the first half of March. What messages are coming through for you? Pay attention to reality. If you receive the opposite of what you want to happen, there is a need to face reality in some way.

Always come back to loving yourself. Life is choices and experiences, choices and experiences. There are many paths home, and you are learning to take the best one for you.

Mercury makes the third and final waxing sextile to Mars on March 4 at 0/1 degrees Pisces-Capricorn. Mercury’s January retrograde cycle in Capricorn has some final resolutions. Like getting in touch with what is reality for us. We are realizing what desires and goals are worthwhile. Financial understandings can occur. It is a time for decisions.

Venus opposes Jupiter retrograde on March 9 at 9/10 degrees Aquarius-Leo. We have an opportunity to understand what is best for all concerned in our world. Venus and Jupiter love to dance with each other; however, there is some “me versus them” energy in Leo and Aquarius. Where is the balance, equality?

Venus in Aquarius is asking Jupiter retro in Leo to be objective and look at everything from a broader perspective. Go beyond yourself and ask how you affect your world. Do you make it a better place? Can you love another as you love yourself? Can you be yourself without causing harm to others?

Uranus moves into Pisces on March 10 for a 7-year journey. Uranus is in Pisces:

Uranus represents the individuated unconsciousness, and its intent is to de-condition our souls on every level, physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Uranus represents freedom from what is known so that we may individuate and become uniquely who we are.

The unconscious mind, via Uranus, contains three areas of information: the past in all its detail from this lifetime and others, everything we suppress via Saturn - the individuated consciousness, and, the blueprint of our future. To undergo a Uranian moment is to experience the past, hints of the future and that which we suppress all coming up for clarity and liberation.

As we all have a desire to be secure we tend to resist changes, which threaten our security. We ignore our past, suppress what we wish to avoid in the present moment, and project more of the same into our future. Well, evolution takes place one way or another and Uranus insists we break free and grow.

Uranus keeps popping those messages up into our conscious mind until we become aware of them. We face the past in order to understand how it affects us. We face what is suppressed and buried so that it does not become more of the past haunting us. We face our future even if it means moving forward into the unknown, or directions we would rather not go.

There is a Saturnine attempt to control Uranus and the deep unknown in order to feel secure. Uranus has the last word. What is unconscious will be made conscious. To become fully conscious about ourselves is to set our soul free. It is easier said than done. Everyone on the planet has become more conscious of their world and the world during Uranus in Aquarius (1995 - 2003).

Uranus is now leaving the sign of its natural rulership. The double whammy of Uranus in Aquarius over the last 7 years have brought major events of shock and trauma as we have become more aware of deeper parts of ourselves. Blinders have been torn off.

Uranus in Pisces asks us to go to the next level of truth for ourselves. The tendency will be to put the blinders back on. The last time Uranus was in Pisces was during the Roaring 20s. Voyeurism began to replace religion and spirituality. Uranus in Pisces is about understanding spiritual truth.

Uranus in Pisces brings opportunity to break free from the patriarchal conditioning of the last seven thousand years, especially over the last two thousand years of the Piscean Age. Some of us will defend the past in all its delusions; for example, men have superiority over women. Some of us will be the leading edge pushing toward the future; for example, striving for gender equality. Most of us will remain in the middle somewhere, complaining about the paycheck inequality between men and women, yet resigning ourselves to more of the same.

Uranus in Pisces brings the chance to liberate religion and spirituality. It can also represent unity in diversity. From the shocks of Uranus in Aquarius we can strive for truth with Uranus in Pisces. Ask for the highest level of spiritual truth to be revealed to you. Ask again and again over the next seven years.

There will be emotional lessons as Pisces is the element of water. Whatever we have suppressed emotionally will rise up to be understood this year. Watch for the areas you want to play the emotional victim role. It is time to become conscious of how you created it. It is time to realize you have a direct connection to God/Goddess.

Emotional cycles on the collective cycle will be experienced. There can be breakthroughs in emotional healing techniques that allow us to get to the essence of what needs to be understood. Watch for the tendency to play the victim role on a collective level.

An entire Uranian cycle will be understood with Uranus in Pisces. After the Roaring 20’s came the Dirty 30’s in America. We have grandparents and parents who may remember the shocks of Uranus in Aries and Taurus. Many of us have forgotten in our world of materialism. What things will Uranus in Pisces ask you to release? Remember your “tools” are to help you return to the Source not escape it.

Uranus and Neptune have entered a mutual reception with each other over the next seven years. Neptune is in Aquarius and Uranus is in Pisces, the signs that each other rules. This means religion, spirituality and liberation will continue to be heightened the rest of this decade.

The global village will continue to experience major changes as Uranus, Neptune and Pluto move through the later signs of the zodiac. The collective planets are in collective signs. We will experience our interconnectedness one way or another. Global governing is upon us. It is being tested and created right now. We will learn how to get along and share our resources, or we will destroy ourselves.

How do you choose to be involved? What do you choose to energize?

A country hell-bent on war will see Uranus in Pisces as a means to fight in the name of their god, or, against another country’s god or perceived lack of god. They will appeal to victimization in some way and accuse another of being the victor. Others will use anger as justification for action, as they perceive another country to be imposing its beliefs upon them. Choose your scenario in the name of a god and its religion.

Those who understood the Uranus in Aquarius message that energy creates matter can utilize their energy to create peace. The power of energy is stronger than the use of force. Uranus in Aquarius and now Pisces is allowing us to realize a universal tool - energy. Evolutionary Astrology teaches that what we emotionalize, we create. Feel peace. Take the time to visualize/emote peace on the planet now. Take the time to visualize/emote political leaders as peaceful now.

The Sun makes a waxing square to Pluto on March 10 at 19/20 degrees Pisces-Sagittarius. Our souls are at a crossroads to break free from the past - waxing square. In Pisces-Sag, the messages are spiritual. The past is patriarchal conditioning, or, that God/Goddess lies outside of ourselves. Can you acknowledge God/Goddess within you?

What do you want to cling to right now? Where are you asked to move forward? Do you believe in yourself?

Venus makes a conjunction to Neptune on March 12 at 12/13 degrees Aquarius. Venus is tapping into the Jupiter-Neptune oppositions. Here is a rallying date for world peace. Venus in Aquarius wants universal love. Neptune is all about universal love.

Any shocks and disappointments to your love life are bringing the chance to make real love, versus the disillusions you settled for.

Sun makes a waning square to Saturn on March 13 at 22/23 degrees Pisces-Gemini. Letting go of those old realities again. Get in touch with your daily life and how you need to function in it.

The mutable grand cross (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) is activated via the personal planets in Pisces last month and this month. Now add in Pluto in Sag, Uranus in Pisces, Saturn in Gemini (for a couple more months) and late this summer, Jupiter in Virgo.

The mutable grand cross is highlighted during these times. Patriarchal conditioning has come to extremes of power during the Piscean Age. We can’t even recognize it how much it affects us, even when we realize how dysfunctional it is.

Here are tidbits this month of how you have bought in to power lying outside of yourself. Patriarchal conditioning has led us to believe in a perfect, male god outside of us, judging us. Natural spiritual laws and principles teach us that the Universal Source is an evolving, bi-gender force found within ourselves first.

This mutable grand cross is allowing you to heal what is wounded within you and merge with God/Goddess from within. Utilize this Piscean energy to unconditionally love yourself. Everything is an illusion of separation from the Source.

How can you let go of your next illusion and realize you are part of the Divine? Can you see the Divine in everyone else? Can you utilize natural laws to energetically protect yourself from those who would impose upon you? Can you refrain from imposing yourself upon others? Can you find unity in diversity?

Mercury makes a waxing square to Pluto on March 15/16 at 19/20 degrees Pisces-Sagittarius. Closely following the Sun, Mercury now brings those messages of victimization/victorization and how we can break free to become whole. This is an impulse to move forward with new desires.

The next day on March 17 Mercury makes a waning square to Saturn at 22/23 degrees Pisces-Gemini. Reality has been changing a lot over the last year. Mercury brings another message on what is reality for each of us.

Saturn and Pluto are still close enough in their oppositions from 2001-2002. We are again experiencing our limitations and the opportunities to evolve and grow beyond them. Finding the power within creates the real power in our world. What messages are coming through for you in the middle of March?

War could be upon us in the U.S. at any moment, any day of the month. We have an impulsive, me-first President. Visualizing and energizing peace is a “full-time” job, just as our relationship with the Source is. Every time negativity comes at you, energize it with love. Feel peace in your world.

Chaos gives us the opportunity to change things.

The Full Moon of Virgo is March 18 at 27/28 degrees Pisces-Virgo; the annual time to balance the physical with the metaphysical. Feet on the ground, head in the skies. We can spiritualize our reality. We can make our work, all work, meaningful. Is your cup half-empty or half-full?

You are the creator of your world - do you like it? How can you change it? Utilize this Full Moon of Virgo to heal yourself. That will create healing energy with others.

Venus makes a waxing sextile to Pluto on March 19 at 19/20 degrees Aquarius-Sagittarius; an opportunity to understand a better way to love ourselves and others. Watch for any need to be right and in control, as it will show you where your soul is facing co-dependency.

The Sun moves into Aries on March 20, initiating a new annual solar cycle. The Evolutionary Astrology mantra is: I initiate with consideration of others. Here is the annual chance to begin anew. The quest is to do so with more awareness than before.

Let us envision the world beginning again to relate to each other. This is some of the strongest energy for U.S. President George Bush, as his soul (Pluto) resides in the beginning of his astrological chart. The beginning of Sun in Aries corresponds to his me-first nature, and his acts first, think later tendency in actions and words.

During this entire month, visualize President Bush in harmonious relationships with the leaders of all other countries. Visualize him listening, really listening to what others have to say. Energize peace.

Energize your life to begin anew, as you desire it to be. Can you be self-responsible?

Mercury follows the Sun into Aries on March 21 for a quick two-week passage. Mental initiations exist here as well. Watch your impulsiveness in conversations. Listen, listen, and listen. Mercury in Aries gets a lot of ideas started and then must intuit which ones to follow through on.

Venus makes a waning trine to Saturn on March 21 as well at 22/23 degrees Aquarius-Gemini. We will have more conversations, this time around relationships and our responsibilities in them. This aspect has the potential to be rewarding if we have been taking care of our own needs. Search for a deeper level of inner security.

Finally on March 21 Mercury makes a superior conjunction to the Sun at 0/1 degrees Aries; a time for answers from the Mercury January retrograde cycle in Capricorn. The beginning of this year came with a mental review of our resources, responsibilities and goals. Now we can receive ideas for moving forward in those areas.

What new insights are coming through now? How would you like to rebirth yourself? There is the freshness of new beginnings, watch where your mind takes you.

The next day, March 22, Pluto goes retrograde at 19/20 degrees Sagittarius for its annual five-month review. This is where our souls release old desires, compulsions, obsessions and patterns. It is time to throw off the past.

Pluto represents the soul, individually and collectively, in Evolutionary Astrology. For most of us, our souls operate pretty unconsciously. We are not very aware of the deep emotions that motivate us. During Pluto’s stationary retrograde, there is a window of opportunity to become more aware of our deepest desires. And how close we are to achieving them.

There is also insight into the old desires that no longer serve us. Here are the upsets that reveal what we are clinging to for security. When Pluto turns retrograde we are shown the soul issues we will work on over the next five months.

Pluto has been traveling through Sag for several years now. It is time to face another level of spiritual truth within us. What is no longer meaningful in your life? Where are the lies in your world? Pluto stationary retrograde is a time to face ourselves as deeply as we can.

It is a time for collective lies to be revealed as well. It is a time for collective truth to be faced and quested after. Our collective soul is facing what no longer works on the planet. Can enough of us realize war does not create peace? Can we create an international Department of Peace?

Mercury then makes a waning trine to Jupiter retro on March 25 at 8/9 degrees Aries-Leo. Our energy is turning to ourselves more and more these days. What do I believe? What works for me?

This is the left-brain and right-brain communing together. Thoughts are flowing. Check things out with others for feedback. There can be a tendency to forget other people and their part in our world. Balance self with others.

Jupiter retrograde makes the second of three waxing semi-squares to Saturn on March 27 at 8/9 degrees Leo - 23/24 degrees Gemini. Jupiter and Saturn are the social planets, where we start to become aware of our society and our interaction with it.

The waxing semi-square asks us to review how we are moving forward. This Jupiter-Saturn combination asks us to believe in ourselves as we move into new social roles. The outer world is not stable, so we must find stability within ourselves.

Jupiter has the idea and Saturn makes it reality. This aspect is a crossroads to make sure our ideas are workable. Our careers and financial goals must be flexible in today’s world. Any outer upsets are the opportunity to grow inwardly.

Mercury makes a waxing sextile to Neptune on March 27 at 12/13 degrees Aries-Aquarius. Mercury is tapping in to the Jupiter-Neptune oppositions and attempting to rationalize the intuitive. Mental energy is quite strong this month. The quest is to allow our intuitive nature to give us answers and then look for how to support those answers.

Venus moves into Pisces on March 27 for a three-week passage. Venus loves Pisces. Love gets soft and dreamy, and out of touch with reality sometimes. Venus is in Neptune’s (ruler of Pisces) territory. Venus gets idealistic about love.

We all must learn to love on the broadest levels possible. We must also love reality. Face your disappointments in love. They are reasons to love yourself more. Ask for your next area of learning to love.

Venus in Pisces is the epitome of loving the planet. It is about loving everyone as we would love those closest to us. It is about finding compassion and understanding in the world around us. It is by loving ourselves as deeply as possible that we can than love others completely without being selfish or selfless.

The next day on March 28 Venus conjuncts Uranus at 0/1 degrees Pisces. Love awakenings continue. Will the U.S. be at war? Regardless, this aspect asks us to wake up and learn how to love. Energize the world with love. It is the most important work you can do, and it costs nothing. It only asks you to find a way to change your inner state to self-love and than share it. Go for it.

Mercury makes the first of three waxing squares to Mars on March 28 at 15/16 degrees Aries-Capricorn. How can we change our actions to move forward peacefully and still achieve our goals?

Mercury is quite active in its next retrograde cycle in Taurus in May. It will make three squares to Mars, Jupiter and Neptune. The world could spend a lot of time arguing and figuring out truth from lies. Where do you feel mentally frustrated? Here are the clues to how your mental world gets to change.

Walk your talk.

The Sun makes a waning trine to Jupiter retro on March 28 at 8/9 degrees Aries-Leo. We are each feeling the need to be first in our world. We each want to be right and lead the way. This aspect is about finding consideration for others beliefs and ideas as well. It is not the easy thing to do here.

Pray peace regardless of what is happening. Find your deepest level of truth that allows you to be yourself, and then search to allow the same with others. It is time to go forward with our own growth, and yet, we get to consider its impact upon others as well. Where is your balance with others?

Finally, Mercury makes a waxing trine to Pluto retro on March 31 at 19/20 degrees Aries-Sagittarius. Truth desires to be set free. Can you ask for the deepest level of truth to be revealed to you?

The later part of March has brought the annual me-first energy. It must be balanced with consideration of others. We are each questing to speak our version of the truth. Can we listen to another’s version of truth as well?

What is universal truth? Were we made to fight each other, or love each other? What do you choose to do?
