Emotions may come up and surprise us the beginning of this solar month as the inner planets pass over
Uranus in Pisces and activate the Saturn in Cancer waxing sesquiquadrate (square and a half) to Uranus
(February 17). Water/emotions always want a container and every time we think we have created one, Uranus
in Pisces finds a leak, or rupture, or breaks the damn right open.
How is your emotional body these days? Can you source what makes you feel the way you do? Do you want to
escape or medicate your emotions away? Can you go to the depth of your emotional fears? Can you find
unconditional love for those who create emotional charges in you, while you maintain healthy boundaries?
Can you find your relationship to God/Goddess through unconditionally loving yourself?
The Sun enters Pisces February 18, and the last sign of the zodiac asks us to address whatever is
unfinished business, especially on emotional levels. The Evolutionary Astrology mantra is: I am in
wholeness with my reality. Pisces loves the great escape, and facing those Virgo (opposite of Pisces)
realities is not a pleasant task when we invest so much time in avoiding them.
Saturn, the boundaries of our individuated consciousness, and Uranus, the door to our individuated
unconsciousness, are having a tug-of-war through 2004-2005. Uranus will have the last word, and in
Cancer-Pisces that means getting our emotional security buttons pushed big-time. Whatever unconscious
emotional patterns we try to avoid will be in our face.
Emotional insecurity? Uranus in Pisces will dissolve whatever outer emotional defenses you attempt to
cover up your fears with. Might as well go within and start those conversations in your head. What
fears? What is the source of those fears? Why those fears and not others? What lessons do those fears
represent?
In today’s world of patriarchal, human-made conditioning, Pisces represents all the illusions/delusions we
maintain in order to feel ego-secure. Sooner or later reality crashes through, usually followed by
depression. We can then either choose another egoic illusion or separating desire, which works for a
while, or, deeply ask why, what is missing?
Pisces is where we learn that only a deep, inner relationship with Source will really sustain us, and it
is the only thing that will remain real through all the separating desires we exhaust. And yet, it is the
scariest thing we can do. Patriarchal conditioning has taught us that “letting go and letting God” means
giving our power away to an outside source of power. After several thousand years of this conditioning,
it has created some very distorted sadomasochistic realities.
There is a need to realize that “letting go and letting God/Goddess” in natural, spiritual observations
means co-creating. Letting Source in without giving your power away. It means self-empowering and
co-creating with Source. And yet, it is still scary from the perceptions of our ego, as we think it means
losing ourselves in some way. Until, our soul begins to realize it really does mean co-creating and asking
for guidance from Source within us.
It also means reaching across Pisces for some Virgo reality and co-creating from what is real for each of
us. Brad Pitt is single again, yet how many of us have a realistic chance to marry him? Or Jennifer
Aniston for that matter? Pisces is all about loving yourself, as you would like another to love you.
When you can really do that, you will not care whether or not that “only one for you” loves you back.
You can unconditionally love them and set them free.
The fear dissipates as you learn to replace it with deep inner relating to Source, one-on-one between you
and God/Goddess. Ohhh, if only it was as easy as stating the words.
In reality, it can be if our desire to relate to God/Goddess is sincere enough. It is just not the way
our human-made world creates community these days. Current patriarchy is exclusive and greater than based
so it needs to control the outer world in order to be secure. However we can choose to create natural
communities that are inclusive and sharing, and honoring of everyone involved.
So, as your fears (emotions) come up, ask for the deepest level of truth you can understand and strive to
love yourself as deeply as possible. Creating a planet of love starts with you. May you be successful.
Mercury conjuncts Uranus on February 19/20 at 6/7 degrees Pisces. Here is the start of the inner planets
triggering our emotional depths. Utilize Mercury to understand the larger picture of whatever is taking
place in your life. Mercury can be quite intuitive here.
Watch any tendencies to interpret reality the same ole way, i.e. “they always betray me” or “I can only
get so far financially,” whatever your self-defeating mantras may be. Pisces is about accepting ultimate
responsibility and recognizing you consciously, or unconsciously, create everything in your life.
Everything. Inner creates outer.
It can be quite empowering and liberating when we can make this conscious realization that everything in
our life we have magnetized to us. How would you like to mentally energize things differently? What is
stopping you?
Venus makes a waxing sextile to Pluto on February 21 at 24/25 degrees Aquarius-Sagittarius. Venus-Pluto
aspects are always opportunities to create greater self-reliance. Watch out for head games, or patriarchal
attempts of righteousness.
As all these emotions come to the surface, get in touch with the place of fear and go there. What is my
next step in emotional self-reliance? Venus in Aquarius can bring the message through if you can calm down
your need to be right.
Pluto in Sag is trying to reveal truth in every aspect of our lives. Can you face the exposure? Can you
acknowledge your imperfections – natural law in these human bodies – and unconditionally love yourself
enough to change?
Mercury makes the first of three waxing sextiles to Mars on February 22 at 11/12 degrees Pisces-Capricorn.
The next two are March 31 (Aries-Aquarius) and May 20 (Taurus-Pisces). This is the major aspect of the
next Mercury retrograde cycle in Aries March 19 through April 12. How do I really want to go forward with
my evolving desires?
Here is left-brain Mercury in intuitive Pisces, helping Mars achieve its Capricorn goals and desires.
Yet, there is something about how we want to move forward with these burning desires of ours that must be
reviewed. Mars can tend to be the leading edge of our separating (from Source) desires, and Mercury in
Pisces can buy in to the fantasy one more time.
What is real here? Is this relentless desire in our head really helping us grow or supporting our
illusions of outer security? Ask around. Check it out with people in your life who have no investment in
your decisions. This is my desire; does it support my growth?
The Full Moon of Virgo is February 23 at 5/6 degrees Pisces-Virgo; the annual Full Moon of facing reality.
In today’s human-made conditioning, Pisces-Virgo energy correlates with our extremes of human behaviors,
what we know as sadomasochism. For example, today there are religious beliefs that it is ok to initiate
hurtful actions upon other humans because “my god” says it is ok. Where did we ever come up with the idea
that a Supreme Intelligence supports violence? What would be left of the planet if we took that
“conditioning belief” to its extreme?
This is the Full Moon to discern and feel where you have hurtful beliefs and behaviors in your life.
Either the actions you impose upon others, or those actions that are imposed upon you. Can you really see
where you try to control another in order to feel secure?
You can also use this time to face your addictions. Realize that the “need” for something goes beyond
physical substances, legal and illegal. Addictions can be emotional, mental and spiritual. There can be
emotional addiction to another person in making you happy. There can be mental addiction to victimization
as your excuse for not taking responsibility of your own life. Today the world is full of spiritual
addictions to be right – my god is better than your god – and we can compare going to war as the need for
a fix.
The Sun conjuncts or passes over Uranus on February 24/25 at 6/7 degrees Pisces. Now all the solar energy
of Sun in Pisces gets involved in the emotional lessons of Uranus in Pisces and Saturn retro in Cancer.
The spectrum of manifestations is endless.
For those who have bought into Piscean illusions in order to feel secure, Uranus can be completely
dissolving of our most cherished beliefs and ideas. What we thought was real can disappear into thin
air! The creative actualizing of the Sun can carry us along for years, decades, or even lifetimes.
However, if what we wish to create is not in our soul’s best interest, or next step of our soul’s growth,
then whatever we have created will crumble. The emotional shocks may be quite intense as everything is
stripped away to face reality.
For those who have quested to sincerely know truth and the Source of the manifested universe, these same
archetypes can bring deep knowledge and emotional connection to what is real. Our inner co-creativity
with God/Goddess can make us a beacon of light. We can be an example of unconditional love on the
planet. We can be a channel that Source comes through for others who truly desire to know what is real.
For many of us, we can feel both ends of the spectrum and anything in-between. We can be experiencing our
own recipe of separating and returning desires with God/Goddess. Facing reality in some ways, clinging to
our old desires in other ways, unconditionally loving some of the time and conditionally looking for love
most of the time. Sun conjunct Uranus reveals whatever you need to liberate from next.
Then Venus enters Pisces on February 26 for the next four weeks. Oh, to just find that person who will
unconditionally love us in every way we desire. Like a broken record, we keep playing the same lines to
the song until we realize that what we search for is within us. The only lover that will totally
unconditionally support us is ourselves.
Yet many of us have succumbed to those human-made conditionings that love lies outside of ourselves. And
so we Virgo criticize ourselves, and others, when we/they do not perform as we desire. We love our
substances and addictions as if the substitute is all we need.
Venus in Pisces: I love me, I love you, I love us, and when you or us doesn’t satisfy me then I must learn
to love myself better. Then I can love you and us again. Where are you accepting substitutes for
self-love?
Mercury makes a waning trine to Saturn retrograde on February 27 at 20/21 degrees Pisces-Cancer. The
inner planets also make connections to Saturn as well this month. First Uranus, then Saturn, emotional
check-in big-time.
This is an aspect of nationalism as Saturn in Cancer has emphasized “us versus them” over the last two
years. Just use a little emotionalism in our reality brainwashing and people forget to think as they wish
for the connections to the past. Where are you wishing for yesterday’s emotional securities?
Can you face those subtle yet deeply changing emotional needs taking place? Our emotional fears may be
easy to trigger, yet harder to recognize are the changes needed to create deeper and deeper emotional
self-reliance.
Sincerely ask for the deepest levels of emotional self-reliance this solar month.
Mercury makes a waxing square to Pluto on March 1 at 24/25 degrees Pisces-Sagittarius; almost a relief to
have Pluto come after Saturn and help out with some exposures of the Piscean fantasies. Trines want to
take the easy way out, path of least resistance just like water. So Pisces needs Sag to expose the
illusions in order to grow.
What messages are coming through these emotional fogs we can find ourselves in? Can you hear the truth or
are you defending your position in order to feel secure? Speak your truths as best as you can and that is
what will come back to you.
Mars makes a waxing square to Jupiter retrograde on March 3 at 17/18 degrees Capricorn-Libra. This can
also serve as a reality check for all the emotional energy this solar month. Jupiter retro continues to
review its personal beliefs about relationships as Mars in Cap is now stating “this is how we need to move
forward.”
From Fall 2004 to Fall 2005 Jupiter in Libra is questioning, intuiting, and evolving our beliefs about
relationships. We see it most magnified in the gay marriage debates. Yet all of us are asking what does
it mean for me to be in relationship with a significant other? What about our relationships with other
countries? What about our neighbors?
Jupiter can look for reasons to support beliefs of superiority in Libra. My relationship beliefs are
right and yours are wrong. Libra does not guarantee equality. Jupiter feels secure from a position of
superiority, or better than.
Mars in Capricorn likes security too. It likes to be in control, and right now all these emotional
extremes popping up feel too insecure. So Mars in Cap wants to lead Jupiter in Libra down the path of
greatest security. Quite possibly that is not in our best emotional interests.
See the crisis in action of the waxing, or first quarter, squares? There is pressure to actually move
forward and pressure to reinvent the past in the appearance of new ways. This Mars-Jupiter aspect is a
defining one this month, and the Mars-Saturn opposition in a few days makes it a defining week.
Jupiter in Libra: what is fair for everyone involved? Mars in Capricorn: what is the deepest level of
social maturity we can act upon? Asking those two questions can help us wade through the deep emotions
being exposed in all of us, and make the best steps forward in new relationship beliefs and actions. May
you be successful.
Venus then conjuncts Uranus on March 4 at 7/8 degrees Pisces. Venus is the third inner planet to pass
over Uranus this solar month. With the waxing Mars-Jupiter square just before, any continuing emotional
illusions can be further exposed.
Venus-Uranus connections bring surprises in love in any zodiacal sign. Wherever we need to liberate love,
these two will show the way. In Pisces, the emotional shocks of Venus-Uranus can be quite intense and
upsetting as our fantasies get shattered. Yet remember, this only happens if we have been buying in to
the delusions about love, or looking for love outside of ourselves too much.
If we have been sincerely working to self-love than this very same Venus-Uranus conjunction can bring
remarkable insights on how to do this. We can really fall in love with ourselves on deep, emotional
levels. What a concept! What a world we could create if inner self-love was the guiding force of love in
the universe!
Mercury enters Aries on March 4 for a nine-week journey. This is a long passage for quick-witted Mercury
in fiery Aries. Just remember, with its next retrograde cycle here we may get to say things more than
once as we realize what we have actually just said. This is instinctive thought, and actions, and we may
find ourselves doing things multiple times before we can find satisfaction.
Mercury in Aries wants everything yesterday and it wants to bust out of these emotional frustrations. It
will take effort and time to really communicate with others about what is going on. Utilize Mercury in
Aries to get to the ah ha’s about the state of your emotional body and the changes needed.
Be ok with changing your mind several times as you not only strive for the bottom line but open up to the
new as well.
Mars makes an opposition to Saturn retrograde on March 7 at 20/21 degrees Capricorn-Cancer. More
opportunity for emotional upsets, or perhaps standoffs and power plays. Saturn goes stationary direct on
March 21, and it is getting tired of Cancer and all its sensitivities. It has been a long two years of
striving for emotional control, and that is the last thing we have with Sun in Pisces.
We could see some struggles between obligations over family versus career. Mars in Cap just wants to get
that project done and Saturn in Cancer is demanding time for family matters. This is the kind of
tug-of-war that can easily create emotional crises and chaos. We can want to cling to those Piscean
addictions even more as the realities of our world are too hard to face.
One of the deeper messages is that our outer goals and manifestations are best created from emotional
maturity and inner security. The success, and sometimes longevity, of our accomplishments comes from deep
self-reliance and inner authority. That has been Saturn in Cancer’s lesson. Mars in Capricorn can create
some dynamite things from an inwardly secure Saturn.
Where do you feel this struggle for emotional control in your life? Are you desperately clinging to some
old structure from your past that has worn out its life span? Can you be in your emotional body and
really feel what is going on? Evolution takes place through the emotional body. Mars in Cap will not get
anywhere ignoring our inner world. Bust out of old rigidities.
The New Moon of Pisces is March 10 at 19/20 degrees. Rebirth your relationship with God/Goddess.
Acknowledge the areas where you just check out from reality. Unconditionally love yourself.
This is the annual New Moon to get in touch with our deepest emotions and the desires that emanate from
there. The path home is found through the exhaustion of our separating desires. What emotional desires
remain as this solar month and annual zodiacal passage draw to a close? How do you fulfill/exhaust these
desires in order to draw closer to God/Goddess? What karma is there to be understood and completed?
If this New Moon brings you emotional despair or depression, there is something old, or not real, we still
desire to cling to. Can you let go and allow evolution to take place?
The Sun makes a waning trine to Saturn retrograde on March 10 at 20/21 degrees Pisces-Cancer. When will
we get our feet on the ground again? This sea of emotions we have been experiencing is quite overwhelming
sometimes. Here we may find ourselves wallowing in self-pity, clinging to our emotional fantasies, or,
building emotional foundations that create families and communities of deep inner strength.
As always, the manifestation of any planetary aspect is the result of our own inward vibrations and energy.
This aspect can be emotional reward or imprisonment depending upon our personal circumstances and
self-responsibility.
This solar month Jupiter retro makes the second of three waning trines to Neptune on March 14 at 16/17
degrees Libra-Aquarius. November 29, 2004 and August 17, 2005 are the other two waning trines. These two
planets can create such interesting dynamics and possibilities or confusions and delusions.
As Jupiter in Libra reviews its personal relationship beliefs, Neptune in Aquarius continues to liberate
our collective social ideas and standards. Can we allow two souls to love each other regardless of gender?
Can deep love between any two souls be sexualized, or not, in a variety of ways?
As humans have distorted natural sexuality upon the planet for several thousand years now (i.e. we must be
celibate to be spiritual), we do not even know how to look at sex in all its many possibilities. We want
to impose our own personal standards of right and wrong upon someone else.
How many of us actually want to hang-glide? Does that mean we have a right to tell another whether or not
they can? How many of us actually want to climb Mount Everest? Does that mean we should prevent others
who desire to make the challenge? What gives us the right to decide the sexual conduct of another soul if
they are not out to hurt, rape or kill anyone?
When belief systems are based upon outer sources of power than we must control our outer world in order to
be secure. Those in power arbitrarily decide right and wrong conduct. Somehow human-made beliefs have
decided that flesh and spirit are antagonistic, and from that we have created these dictates of when and
how humans can engage in sex. Today, for some reason, sex can only be between one man and one woman, and
only if they are married.
Never mind that the Catholic Church ran one of the largest brothels in the Vatican itself at one time,
visited by the popes themselves.
Jupiter and Neptune co-rule the sacral chakra. All the glamorization (distortion) of sex stems from our
lack of acknowledging that sexuality is a natural law, and actually a way to evolve spiritually. If we
could arbitrarily close off our sexual urges, there would be no molestation of young choirboys.
These Jupiter waning trines to Neptune in 2004-2005 can easily be manipulated to further dictate and
distort right/wrong standards of conduct with regards to sexuality. And spirituality. However, natural
laws cannot be destroyed. Try as we might, we cannot regulate sexual conduct; or any soul’s personal path
back to Source. The coming Aquarian Age will boomerang with many multiple types of sexual relationships
and spiritual faiths.
Based upon the natural observation of two sexual genders in humans, is the mating of each gender the
natural way? Duh! However, due to human-made suppression of sexual freedom and expression will we see
sexual rebellion in the coming Aquarian Age? Only if we continue to try to arbitrarily legislate morality
and sexual conduct. Sexual freedom will lead to what is natural. Sexual suppression will lead to
distortions.
The deeper Jupiter-Neptune lessons are to teach us spirituality through sexuality, sacred sexuality. This
means loving the soul beyond the gender, and this is the lesson all souls learn at some point or another
in their evolution. Homosexuality is a way to learn this lesson. It is also part of a soul’s own gender –
switching back and forth through lifetimes of reincarnation as each soul learns to balance its own inner
anima/animus, regardless of any current gender it has incarnated through in the current life.
Monogamy is not inherited to the human gene pool. It did not exist until human-made conditioning via
religions. Honestly observe yourself and those around you. Do we not each have dual desires to commit
and to be sexually wild? Does your human-made conditioning even let you consider this?
Sexual diversity was vitally necessary upon the planet for hundreds of thousands of years if not millions
of years. Yet now, we morally legislate it as if that will take care of the matter. If monogamy were
programmed into our genes there would be no need for divorce.
Humans may be attempting to create monogamous sexual relationships as we learn to deeply love one another.
However, it has not been our collective history. And, due to the distortions of sexuality over the last
6-7,000 years, there is a sexual explosion that will come around again in order to balance and bring
sexuality back to its rightful place as part of the whole spiritual experience. The Pluto in Scorpio
generation will make sure of it.
Jupiter waning trine Neptune three times is opportunity for each of us to intuit what works for us
individually in regards to our sexuality. It tests us to be honest in our sexuality with others.
Remember that the sexual lies you energize will only boomerang back to you. Jupiter in Libra needs a
diversity of sexual beliefs, with each gravitating to what works for them. Neptune in Aquarius needs
social acceptance of those varying beliefs and the natural diversity of sexual opportunities stemming from
those beliefs. One size does not fit all.
S&M sex would not even exist if we did not suppress natural sexuality. Quite frankly, neither would rapes,
wars or murder.
Jupiter in Libra and Neptune in Aquarius need a diversity of spiritual beliefs. They need tolerance and
acceptance of differing beliefs, especially those beliefs that do not harm others. There needs for deep
questioning as to how any belief system that supports violence even got that way. These two planets can
find the common ground between different spiritual beliefs and build unity in diversity from there.
The Sun makes a waxing square to Pluto on March 14 at 24/25 degrees Pisces-Sagittarius. Here is Pluto
again, helping out those Piscean planets in their quest for emotional honesty. This aspect also asks us
to move forward on deep emotional levels, manifesting the unfinished desires within us, and letting go of
the old desires we cling to for security reasons.
Any planetary aspect to Pluto will deal with compulsions and obsessions, due to the soul’s (Pluto) deep
need to be secure. Sun in a water sign and Pluto in a fire sign – mutually receptive to the element each
other naturally rules – allows these two planets to see what drives each of us in creating our lives.
Where do you get to honestly look at yourself and see what desires motivate you? Are they healthy desires?
If not, what can you change?
Venus makes a waning trine to Saturn retrograde on March 14 at 20/21 degrees Pisces-Cancer. Yet the need
to be outwardly secure is so strong in these manifested bodies of ours. Watch out for those tendencies to
just reinvent your relationship games.
Venus and Saturn do not always make the most pleasant blend of energies unless we are really into
self-responsibility. So a waning trine in water signs can just be more of the same old emotional
realities. What we need is the courage to let go of old emotional patterns.
There can be most pleasant rewards with others when we are making an effort to take care of our own needs.
Venus in Pisces really does desire to love unconditionally and when Saturn in Cancer learns how to take
care of itself, we get to give and receive love almost effortlessly. Self-reliance really does create
less work and more ease in relating to others. There are minimal projections on to someone else and
therefore freedom for each to just share as they naturally would.
Venus then makes a waxing square to Pluto on March 17/18 at 24/25 degrees Pisces-Sag. Now Venus gets that
reality check from Pluto; and the need to move forward in relating patterns. Our emotions this month have
been relentless. As the solar month draws to a close we can recognize our deepest emotions and what needs
to be addressed.
The tug to repeat old emotional patterning is very strong. Make the conscious effort to create new
emotional giving and receiving. Be honest about how you really feel and what is necessary to meet your
own essential needs.
One of Pisces lessons is to create healthy boundaries. At the end of this solar month we need to be
figuring out exactly what that is for us. Our desires to be secure can settle for those subtle
manipulations that even we have a hard time recognizing. Venus waxing square Pluto helps point out where
we play games.
Remember that when you project the responsibility for your well being on to another person you make
yourself vulnerable to them and their needs and whims. It really does take more work than just taking
care of yourself and your own needs in the first place.
The Sun makes a waxing sextile to Mars on March 19 at 29/30 degrees Pisces-Capricorn. Perhaps we can
manifest some emotional stability at the end of this solar month, or at least get an understanding of what
that is. These two planets want to make things happen.
And yet, Mercury is mixing in and mixing things up. Go with the flow might be more appropriate as Mercury
keeps asking Mars to change direction through its retrograde cycle.
Mercury turns stationary retrograde on March 19 at 14/15 degrees Aries right as the Sun enters Aries for
the Spring Equinox on March 20. It goes direct on April 12 at 1-2 degrees Aries. We really would like to
get things going after all this deep emotional energy through Sun in Pisces.
And that’s ok as long as we are as flexible as we can be. The ideas are coming in so fast we can’t speak
or write fast enough. Mercury is quite quick and in Aries it just wants to race forward with things. And
yet, it is now standing still and turning around. Oh the Aries frustrations.
This just might be a Mercury stationary retrograde to stay home for a few days and let everyone else get
in the fender benders. Defensive driving is necessary this entire retro cycle. The more you can just
Piscean ponder for a little while longer and hold off on starting the new until later in Mercury’s retro
cycle, the better off you may be.
Sometimes we just do not get a choice except to start and then do something over. Breathe, exercise and
just know that it is ok. Mercury in Aries can take in too much information and we just get to sort through
the excess for a bit. There is no right or wrong, just choices and experiences, choices and experiences.
Each choice leads you to a better experience and a better choice, which leads to a better experience, etc.
Be open to all the new possibilities coming up. The beginning of the next solar month, Aries, brings a
Saturn stationary direct in Cancer and a Pluto stationary retrograde in Sagittarius.
This will be an unstable spring. The more flexible we are the easier our lives will be. Continue to work
your desires and goals, just allow the creativity of the universe to help out with the details. And don’t
worry – Mercury retrograde in Aries will make sure it is involved with the details.
May God/Goddess bless you through Sun in Pisces!
