Monthly Forecast - November 2001

The major upheavals will continue. More realities are faced. More changes are made. And we are immersed in Scorpion energy: The annual time for revenge or metamorphosis. Collectively, we seem to clearly be on a path for revenge. Individually, we can choose different paths.

These are the times that will test us to walk our talk. Have you fallen into defending your beliefs and points of view, even if they are for peace? Have you been able to understand another's solution, even if it perpetuates actions of exclusion and domination? Are you able to hold everyone in a circle of love, regardless of their beliefs? Are you able to send out peace and love to those who are angry and support more war?

The beginning of November starts out with intense energy: a Full Moon in Taurus-Scorpio, the second Saturn-Pluto opposition and Jupiter, the planet of beliefs, starting its 4 month retrograde cycle. Pray for peace, find it within.

The Sun is passing through Scorpio. The Evolutionary Astrology mantra is: I metamorphose myself with evolving self-reliance. Scorpio is the epitome of separating versus returning desires. The Scorpio archetype is where the conflict between the desire to separate from that which has created us interacts with the desire to know and understand that which has created us.

This is where our separating desires encounter limitations of power and work to overcome those limitations, through control, manipulation, domination, fighting, etc. However, this is also where we can understand the need to really merge with that which is greater than us, and return to the Source. Easier said than done.

The Full Moon of Taurus is at 8/9 degrees Taurus-Scorpio on October 31/November 1. The annual time to realize self-reliance in all our relationships. With this we can fully merge with another in the deepest soul connections. Without self-reliance another layer of co-dependency is revealed.

This Full Moon may be a major revelation for humanity as a whole with the message that we are all one, and each responsible for ourselves. May this be our quest. May our limitations of power be metamorphosed through union with the Source, not domination and control over another. May we all be involved with building the global village.

Combined with the next Saturn-Pluto opposition, this Full Moon can test us right down to our ability to survive. Yes, these are pivotal times on the planet. Yes, each and every one of us continuing to send out love and healing energy can make a collective difference.

The real message from all this upheaval is that we do not really have peace and security in the US. We have just had a false sense of it and Saturn-Pluto has shattered that illusion. We are a global village. What happens to our neighbors affects all of us.

The semi-authoritarian governmental control we see on TV in other countries is now in our every day lives. Visit your local airport. This is the reality of government in our country. Are we really safer, or has a new level of control started under the disguise of protecting us? Where is the fine line of balance between privacy and community?

Venus makes a waning trine to Uranus at 20/21 degrees Libra-Aquarius on October 31/November 1. The evolving opportunities? We can learn to love humanity on a deeper level. We can realize all have a right to be free. We can liberate ourselves into greater self-reliance.

Individually, we can each realize the old relationship patterns that need to be released, and it is easy to do so if we make the effort. There is an opportunity for harmonious relationship interaction, each understanding and accepting the other.

Mercury makes the last of 3 waning trines to Uranus on November 1 at 20/21 degrees Libra-Aquarius. Mercury is catching up to Venus and repeating the messages above. These global wakeup calls have all of us discussing what is important in our lives and our relationships. Messages abound on every level. Many personal details about our relationships are being revealed and discussed.

The air-loving signs Gemini, Libra and Aquarius have us discussing what is in the air.

November 1/2 Saturn makes the second of three oppositions to Pluto at 13/14 degrees Gemini-Sagittarius. This second interaction is the depth of facing reality and changing reality. With Pluto in Sag we each want to defend our beliefs, our way of looking at the universe. Saturn in Gemini demands we see another's beliefs and ideas, individually and collectively.

The end of October and beginning of November can bring out the most intense interactions between countries, each trying to enforce their path as the only path to peace and freedom. When will we learn to replace anger and hateful actions with understanding and networking? The global village is being forced into awareness of its neighbors. Where is the unity in diversity?

When will enough of us realize that our air is not safe? Bioterrorism is alive and well and has been since the end of the cold war. Anthrax is only the beginning. Wounded souls have been making all kinds of concoctions airborne for the last decade. The 3 outer planets - Uranus, Neptune and Pluto - are traveling through air signs 1998-2003.

This is a time period in which we each begin to understand what is real individually. Our individual belief systems have been evolving since Pluto entered Sag in 1995. Now Saturn in Gemini is bringing all kinds of information up to the surface to help us really understand what is important in our lives and what is fluff to be released.

Opinions are everywhere on everything. Search within on the deepest levels to reveal the limitations of your own world. There is always another step on our evolutionary ladders. This is the time to make leaps of growth with our philosophical understandings of what is happening in the world, and how it affects each of us. This is a time to understand there are many paths home, back to the Source.

Saturn-Pluto aspects have historically been involved in much of the world's strife and wars. They have been active in both world wars. Again, how much longer do we need to keep repeating patriarchal principles of domination and exclusion to realize these beliefs have not created peace?

How can we make changes as a global community to understand and help wounded souls release a separating desire to harm the air we all breathe? Are we going to build a world of fear or a world of self-responsibility?

How can you begin to change old patterns of reality personally by learning how to understand, accept and find a peaceful plan with those who are closest to you? Who have you been fighting or disagreeing with? What efforts can you make to understand their world? How do your realities need to shift on the most personal levels?

This second Saturn-Pluto opposition will interact with all the relationship energies of the inner planets in Libra and Scorpio to help us face reality on the deepest levels in our most intimate relationships. What is the next evolutionary step in your relationship situations? How can each be responsible for themselves?

Jupiter turns retrograde at the same time on November 2 at 15/16 degrees Cancer. An annual review of our personal belief systems. This retro cycle in Cancer at this time on the planet is actually a chance to realize what is important: the need to bond within family structures, individually and collectively.

What do each of us have in common regardless of our beliefs and values, regardless of the country we were born into and the cultures we have learned? What is our common ground? We each were born into a family first. This is where the understanding and healing starts. All of us, unless we are really wounded, have family members, blood and spirit, that are important to us. We all have those we have bonded with.

This Jupiter retro cycle brings the opportunity to review what emotional bondings are important to us. It is also the time period to release those emotional bondings that are not healthy. Jupiter is bringing deeper understandings of our emotional codependencies, and the need to learn emotional self-reliance. We are each responsible for ourselves and our happiness no matter what.

This is where we can each start in bringing peace and happiness to the world. A self-reliant soul is a peaceful soul. A peaceful soul creates a peaceful family. A peaceful family creates a peaceful community. Peaceful communities create a peaceful world. It can be created. What is stopping you? Are those deep, emotional wounds worth carrying around anymore? Here is the winter to release and heal another layer of your old emotional wounds.

Emotional self-reliance does not mean emotional denial, suppression or isolation. It means emotional interactions where you are responsible for yourself. It means loving yourself enough that you can love others, including setting boundaries with those who wish to hurt you or remain emotionally dependent upon you.

Emotional self-reliance means an awareness of healthy ways to love and unhealthy ways of loving that we say no to. The healing starts within our closest emotional circles, that are repeating the emotional beliefs and bondings we learned in our families of origin. It is becoming aware of, understanding and letting go of old patterns of victimization and victorizing.

Unfortunately, we have become so far removed from natural spiritual laws and principles that to find healthy emotional interacting may require some major shocks to force us into reflection. Even then, we are tested to search within instead of looking for blame and responsibility on the outside. There really are no victims. What have you consciously and unconsciously created to learn to love yourself better?

What have we created in the world today in order to learn how to love ourselves better? Are we getting the message, or will we continue to hate?

Mercury makes a second conjunction to Venus in Libra at 23/24 degrees Libra on November 2/3. Messages of love. Messages of learning to really listen to what others are saying. Here is a second chance to understand what our partners have been trying to tell us. And here is a chance to find equality and balance within our relationships.

Mars makes it bi-annual conjunction to Neptune on November 5 at 6/7 degrees Aquarius. A new 2 year cycle of initiation of actions based upon our deepest beliefs. Lessor-evolved souls may find new impetus to continue fighting for their version of the truth. Evolving souls have an opportunity to start a new course of action based upon deeper revelations of what really is the path Home.

Mars can be at some of its sneakiest with Neptune, appearing one way and acting another. In Aquarius this can mean hidden, secret agendas, such as governments sending out messages of less control and interaction in our lives while their actions actually do the opposite. Exactly what could happen in our own country this winter. Republican interests have preached more privacy and less governmental control, yet their actions in this global crisis are creating the opposite.

Exposing this through the Mars-Neptune initiation can make one appear unpatriotic. And yet, realizing this is so important. We are only increasing the patriarchal principles with our government's current actions. In reality we are only increasing governmental control and losing more freedoms.

Individually, we can choose courses of action to speak the truth, and act in truth. We can walk our talk. We can choose to interact with truth in our everyday lives. Again, peace starts within and then extends to those closest to us. Then it spreads to community and the world. So, how can you walk your talk? How can your actions become an example of your beliefs?

Mercury and Venus move through Scorpio this month joining the Sun. Scorpio again, is the extremist. The best or the worst. Scorpio can chop off their heads. Scorpio can rebirth and regenerate life. For most of us, Scorpio brings up our insecurities and codependencies. It shows us our limitations of power that ask us to take the next step of growth.

We do this by merging with whatever we perceive to be more powerful than us and via osmosising this power into us, we become more empowered, positive or negative, whatever our orientation is. The downfall is then refusing to let go of what we have merged with, to become codependent. The quest is to let go and stand on our own (Taurus - polarity of Scorpio), more empowered than before.

Mercury enters Scorpio on November 11 for almost 3 weeks. All the information brought up and talked about during Mercury's retrograde cycle in Libra now gets decided upon. The astro detective is at work. Mentally we each have a desire to reach deeper into conversations to understand what is really being said beyond just the words.

Codependencies are revealed all month long. Mercury in Scorpio will bring up the conversations about it, and sometimes the arguments. What is being revealed in your relationships that asks you to reach a deeper level of self-reliance (Taurus)?

The Sun makes a waxing trine to Jupiter retrograde on November 7 at 15/16 degrees Scorpio-Cancer. At the beginning of this Jupiter retrograde cycle emotions may be coming in quite strong. Insecurities may be revealed along with our energy to solve them. Here is beautiful opportunity to really love yourself in whatever ways are healthy for you. Take that leap: love yourself the way you would like another to do so.

The next day Venus enters Scorpio on November 8 for 3 week journey. Venus is in one of the opposite signs (Taurus) it rules. Oh, the insecurities revealed this month. Can we see them as messages to love ourselves better? Venus in Scorpio longs for the deep soul bonding. Too many times though Venus in Scorpio finds itself doubting and suspicious, and full of those emotions which hide the codependency underneath.

As this Venus cycle brings up our relationship issues, remember that the partners in our lives are just mirrors to what is going on within us. To change a situation with your partner change yourself. Inner just reflects outer. Where is your need to be loved hiding the separating desires within you? Like an old broken record, here is another cycle that may bring up rejections in order to teach us to love ourselves.

On November 11 Mercury makes a waning square to Neptune at 6/7 degrees Scorpio-Aquarius. Here is the mental fight that refuses to look at anything differently only to deceive and create a crash. Here is the chance to intuit a deeper meaning as to what is going on in our lives. To let go of another old layer of limited beliefs. Can you speak your truth? What is the truth?

The Sun makes a waning square to Uranus on November 12/13 at 20/21 degrees Scorpio-Aquarius. Waning squares dominant the next few weeks - crisis in beliefs. We are all receiving the shocks of reality as Gaia works to restore balance. Here is a chance to get some deeper realizations of what is going on. Let go of what is no longer working for you. Unconscious emotional patterns are released to the surface. What are your emotional realizations?

Next Venus makes a waning square to Neptune on November 13 at 6/7 degrees Scorpio-Aquarius. The disillusions of love revealed. So much relationship energy has been stirred up over the last month. Answers are there if we can get the courage to look at the tough stuff and grow as we need to. Where are you needing to let go of old relating patterns/partners? How are your relationships being given opportunities to rebirth?

Mars makes a waning trine to Saturn retrograde on November 14/15 at 12/13 degrees Aquarius-Gemini. Here is energy to come together and act in the best ways for all concerned. Mars is sharing its truth with Saturn and helping us shift our lives into more realistic patterns. Here is an opportunity to detach and observe what is really going on, and then act accordingly.

Our individual neighborhoods in the USA are evolving to include these new terrorist acts into our realization of the global village. This is how much of the planets lives on a daily basis.

The New Moon of Scorpio is November 14/15 at 22/23 degrees Scorpio. The annual time to emotionally rebirth ourselves on the deepest levels. The time to look into our deepest insecurities and find a new level of self-love. It is a time to merge on deeper levels. It is a time to let go of another separating desire and make a new initiation in returning to the Source.

Mercury makes a waning square to Mars on November 16 at 13/14 degrees Scorpio-Aquarius. More letting go of the old. We may wish to stubbornly cling to our viewpoints and behaviors. Messages are coming through from others that it will not work a certain way anymore.

Power clashes could very easily happen all during this month. The energy just doesn't seem to let up. The world situation is being played out with its stress to our personal lives. Issues are in our face. Fluff just doesn't satisfy right now. Everything and everyone is deep.

We are all feeling insecure in our personal environments. How many face the job insecurities? How many face relationship insecurities? We are being tested to find that inner self-reliance regardless of what is going on in the world. Can you find peace within? Are you OK?

Mars makes a waxing sextile to Pluto at 14/15 degrees Aquarius-Sag on November 16/17. Here is energy to move forward while so much is asking us to let go of the old. What are the new truths, personal and collective, that you are being asked to act upon? How are you moving forward with consideration of others? Desires are easy to see and act upon.

This can be more energy to just try and convince others that we have the corner on truth. This can be a chance to move forward into new directions based upon expanding and understanding new levels of truth. We are all acting upon our convictions, right or wrong. Can we find unity in diversity?

Next Mercury makes a waxing trine to Jupiter retrograde on November 17 at 15/16 degrees Scorpio-Cancer. Information about and understanding of, our emotions, now and all month long. Emotions seem to be at the surface always bubbling over. This is easy energy to emotionally grow and evolve, or stay stuck, the choice is yours.

Venus follows Mercury, making a waxing trine to Jupiter retrograde on November 20 at 15/16 degrees Scorpio-Cancer. Beautiful, harmonious energy for loving ourselves and others. Where are you at emotionally these days? Are your relationships fulfilling? Are they full of manipulations in order to feel secure? Are you understanding the next step in loving yourself better, and creating your family within?

Next on November 20 Mercury makes a waning square to Uranus at 21/22 degrees Scorpio-Aquarius. A few days where information may be released from deep levels within us. Use your intuition to discern the messages you are receiving. Can you detach to really consider things differently? Or, will you just try to make it fit into the old box again?

Sun enter Sagittarius on November 21/22. The annual time period to quest for the truth of everything. And, it is greatly needed at this time on the planet. Pluto, the soul - individually and collectively, is passing through the middle degrees of Sag, asking all of us to deeply search and evolve our belief systems. Now Sun comes along and energizes this quest for the next solar month.

Unfortunately, patriarchal principles have conditioned the majority of souls to just go into defense and rigidly draw lines in the sand that their god is the only true god. We have been repeating this for thousands and thousands of years. The events of the last few months are an opportunity to question our beliefs and ask if there is a deeper level of truth to be revealed.

In its essence the Sagittarius archetype learns to understand there is a relativity to truth (Gemini, its polarity) and its must search for the foundation that creates a large enough circle to include all paths back to the Universal Source. Where is this happening for you on a personal level? The mutable grand cross (Gemini, Virgo, Sag and Pisces) represents the search for natural, spiritual laws and principles.

How are the planetary events affecting how you look at your work, your values, your finances, your relationships? We are questing for the meaning of everything in our lives today. And, with the Saturn-Pluto oppositions in Gemini-Sag, we are letting go of fluff and getting down to the basics that are important for each of us.

Utilize this Sun in Sag time to do your quest. What is the next level of truth for you? What choices are you facing on your path Home? Can you understand another's beliefs? Can you find a common ground, or unity in diversity, or an agreement to disagree?

On November 23 Venus makes a waning square to Mars at 18/19 degrees Scorpio-Aquarius. Venus and Mars will be dancing with Uranus over the next few days, bringing up all kinds of insight into our relationships. Here we are asked to become aware of the next layer of emotional codependency to release. Can you detach from your current relating situations and objectively face the emotional buttons being pushed? Who we want in our life, and who we do not want, are coming into focus now.

Disappointment and disillusionment in relationships right now offer the chance to let go of old relating patterns and ask for enlightenment into new patterns. It may mean a relationship has reached the end of its course and how can we bring about healthy closure?

The Scorpio-Taurus polarity teaches us that relationship endings are as important as relationship beginnings. Whether it is the relationship itself or the relating patterns, something is ready to be released. What are the healthiest ways, and most honest ways, to do so?

Venus then makes a waning square to Uranus on November 25 at 21/22 degrees Scorpio-Aquarius. More insight into what we really need in our lives right now. From the most personal to the most mundane, our values and needs are being questioned. New values and needs are released into consciousness. Personal changes interact with the impact of the major changes upon the planet right now, and all the planetary energy in relating signs of Libra and Scorpio.

Mercury enters Sagittarius for 3 weeks on November 26. Here Mercury is in the opposite sign (Gemini) of one of its rulerships. This is the chance to open up to right-brain, intuitive messages and understand the larger picture. We have spent the last few weeks emotionally intuiting what is happening in our lives and now we are ready for action again. We all have a viewpoint to understanding our current reality.

Collectively, Mercury in Sag may just be trying to convince others that we are right, they are wrong. Of course, everyone else is doing the same thing so arguments and those ideological lines in the sand may happen again.

Mercury in Sag is a time when we can transfer the left-brain ego to the soul. We can open up and listen to messages coming from the depth of our souls. Then our mental interactions can come from a place of peace and understanding, which is so very much needed in these unstable times.

Also on November 26 Mars makes its bi-annual conjunction to Uranus at 21/22 degrees Aquarius. In lesser-evolved souls this makes for a lot of explosive action. Act first and think later scenarios. World situations are quite intense yet and energy may build up again the end of this month to be released in a zillion ways. Is your air safe?

Mars interacts with Uranus for insight in how to act on our unconscious stuff: past, present and future. The quest is to detach and observe what comes up, and then search for the patterns that need to be changed. Many of us just repeat those old patterns all over again, defending our actions with the same old arguments.

To choose a different course of action with a repeating pattern is a tough thing to do. First, we must become conscious of the pattern. Then, again, we must detach from it in order to think and process differently. Finally, we must have the courage to choose another response through all the insecurities. May you be successful in doing so.

May the unconscious repetition of your separating desires be revealed to you. May you clearly see and understand the glimpses of your future returning desires. May you move in those directions.

Sun makes a waning sextile to Neptune on November 28 at 6/7 degrees Sagittarius-Aquarius. A chance to understand a larger picture of what is happening on the planet and therefore in our lives. We can intuit what is natural law here and let go of conditioning. Disappointment in your life at this time is a message of how you have bought in to an illusion of belief. Where have you given your power away to another? What are the messages of how to change? What is important to you?

The Full Moon of Sagittarius is November 30 at 8/9 degrees Sag-Gemini. An annual time to understand a larger belief system that realizes there are many paths Home. This Full Moon is quite close to the Saturn in Gemini - Pluto in Sag oppositions. Here are personal messages of how each of us can participate more clearly in these changing times.

What emotional buttons are being pushed right now? Are you defending your point of view or listening to what another has to say? Can you sincerely listen and then discern/intuit whether there is common ground or not? Can you find peaceful resolutions to your differences? Can you shift your reality yet again?

Finally Mercury makes a waning sextile to Neptune at 6/7 degrees Sag-Aquarius on November 30. Intuition is so strong these days. Open up to it. Listen to it. Work with it. Major breakthroughs can be made while Sun is in Sagittarius. Mercury is right behind the Sun catching the messages, are you listening?

Sadly, the majority of souls in the USA and on the planet keep repeating old angry, hurtful belief systems. Intense shocks must come in order to break free of those limiting beliefs and patterns. These are the times to do so. It is time to realize natural law principles of networking, community, and inclusiveness will help us survive much easier. Those who realize this are important messengers. Be the example, walk your talk. Be the beacon of peace.

Get your personal house in order. Let go of the old that doesn't fit anymore. Intuit where your next step of growth is and move in those directions. Realign yourself with natural laws. Get back in touch with nature when you are confused. Ask God/Goddess what needs to be revealed along your path Home. May your evolving beliefs bring you a step closer to harmony with natural laws and spiritual principles.
