Monthly Forecast - November 2002

This is the time of the year when deep changes can happen. During the energy of Scorpio we are not satisfied with the surface of anything. This year, a Venus retrograde cycle in Scorpio asks us to face whatever is limiting our relationships from evolving. By now we can recognize the next step of growth in how we interact with others.

The same potential exists on the collective level as well. The reality of initiating war upon another country is creeping in. If the U.S. declares war upon Iraq in the name of terrorism, then what stops Israel from attacking Palestine, China from attacking Taiwan, India from attacking Pakistan, North Korea from attacking South Korea, etc, in the name of terrorism?

These are interesting times again upon the planet. The landscape could change dramatically in the blink of an eye. Pluto, the ruler of Scorpio and the archetype of our souls, individually, and collectively, takes us to the core during the Scorpio solar month.

The Evolutionary Mantra during Sun in Scorpio is: I metamorphose myself with evolving self-reliance. In order to do this we must face our fears and limitations. What scares you the most? This determines the relationship securities you gravitate towards.

Scorpio asks us to face the powers greater than our self, positive and negative. Here we make the choice of aligning our energy and merging with that source of power. We take it in and evolve into someone greater than we were before. The lesson is to then separate from that which we merged with in order to go to the next step of self-reliance and empowerment ourselves. Easier said then done.

U.S. leaders state we must fight terrorism yet we are dependent upon the Mid-east’s oil. Are we fighting/merging with/taking over another region of the world to gain power over their oil? How many of the current U.S. leaders come from oil backgrounds? Where is the renewable energy research to release our dependency upon oil?

The threats of terrorism and bio-warfare are real and have been happening for years. Why asks Scorpio? Can we take it to the deepest soul levels of separating desires/forces? A huge patriarchal wave that operates from exclusion and superiority for thousands of years has created so much hatred, anger and blame we cannot even remember when it began.

Which country will get the courage to say 8,000 years of war has not created peace? When will the people of all lands begin to realize that matriarchal networking and inclusiveness will heal the deepest wounds?

Uranus goes direct on November 3/4 at 24/25 degrees Aquarius. The dawning of the Aquarian Age is upon us. There is a message that patriarchal energies must find balance with matriarchal energies. All people on the planet are equal. All countries on the planet are equal. Unity in diversity is the Aquarian theme.

This was the last retrograde cycle of Uranus completely in Aquarius. Uranus is the great de-conditioner. Wherever we are holding on to conditioning on unconscious levels can be revealed at this time. Breakthroughs are yours in every way, ask for them.

Uranus has spent the last seven years in Aquarius leading us to truth. In lesser-evolved souls, this becomes convincing to others that they have the truth, just listen to them. As souls evolve we learn that sometimes we do not know all the truth, and another layer of conditioning gives way to deeper truths.

Saturn makes a waxing trine to Uranus all during the winter. At this Uranus-direct time, we can understand the new realities we are creating based upon a greater understanding of what is true for all of us and the needs of the collective. Always, always ask for the deepest level of truth to be revealed to you, and how you can fit into the global village.

The New Moon of Scorpio is November 4 at 12/13 degrees. This is an annual time for emotional death and rebirth. Here we can go to our emotional depths. Can you face your emotional insecurities? Can you rebirth into greater emotional self-reliance?

Emotions can run very strong here. Utilize them to understand yourself better. Ask that famous “why” again and again until you understand your next emotional step, and it may be an emotional leap.

Mercury conjuncts Venus retrograde on November 4 at 5/6 degrees Scorpio. Mercury moved into Scorpio October 31 so the mental detective is sharp these days. Messages can come in on where we are going in those relationship situations of ours. What feels emotionally right for you now?

Mercury is quite active this month and next it makes a waning square to Neptune on November 5 at 8/9 degrees Scorpio-Aquarius. There can be some letdowns here and mental confusion. If you find this happening you are clinging to old beliefs that are not working anymore.

Where is it necessary for you to speak up? What is pushing your emotional buttons? These are the clues to how you can evolve your belief system into greater self-reliance. Shed those old mental patterns.

The Sun makes a waxing square to Jupiter at 17/18 degrees Scorpio-Leo on November 9. Let’s break free into new territories. Do you believe in yourself? Here we are asked to act upon our confidence in ourselves. Face those limitations and walk through the fears. Free yourself.

Mars makes a waning sextile to Pluto on November 9/10 at 16/17 degrees Libra-Sagittarius. Letting go of old actions and realizing a better way to do things. Selfless souls will need some more initiation as the new way to act. Selfish souls will need to take other’s ideas into more consideration.

There are old desires within our souls that just are not working anymore. We have almost exhausted those desires, give them a conscious releasing. Allow new desires to start gestating.

There may be some insights here to those relating patterns needing to grow during the Venus retro cycle. Mars in Libra always wants to balance things. Venus is in the last part of its retrograde cycle and now we can hear those messages others have been stating to us. Can we change our relating patterns?

Mercury follows the Sun with a waxing square to Jupiter on November 11 at 17/18 degrees Scorpio-Leo. There is opportunity for intuition to break through new ideas, new thoughts, so go for it. We can gain new understandings about ourselves.

Jupiter in Leo is full of creative ideas. We can all birth new creativity in work, play, and love. Jupiter is grandiose in Leo, so Mercury will help us define the ideas that will work and those that will not. Listen on an inner level.

Mars then makes a waxing sextile to Jupiter at 17/18 degrees Libra-Leo on November 11 as well. Mars is activating the waning trine this winter between Jupiter and Pluto. Mars and Jupiter want to move forward and throw a party.

Souls who have been aligning their personal truth with the largest picture of truth that they can realize may find this time period very rewarding. Working with natural spiritual laws and principles continually move us forward, or Home. The Jupiter-Pluto waning trine can bring societal recognition and rewards that Mars can trigger now.

In lesser-evolved souls, the need for security is stronger than the desire to know the truth. So Mars waxing sextile Jupiter in Libra-Leo looks for ways to manipulate things and convince others they know best. The Jupiter-Pluto rewards will have a hard time lasting, and the need to convert others just won’t let up. Security eludes them in the long run.

Mercury catches up with the Sun on November 13 at 21/22 degrees Scorpio. It is a superior conjunction and the conclusion to the last Mercury retro cycle – relationship answers. Mercury’s last retrograde was in Libra and now its passage over the Sun is in Scorpio.

The Mercury retro cycle in Libra brought up all the different relationship situations and possibilities and discussions. Now we can understand deeper levels of relationship choices. Again, these inner planets in Scorpio give us such powerful intuitive understandings of ourselves and of others. What are the answers for you?

Mercury then makes a waning square to Uranus on November 15/16 at 24/25 degrees Scorpio-Aquarius. Insights can be tremendous this month. Here the conscious mind (Mercury) receives the messages from the unconscious mind (Uranus). There is a need to release past (waning square) conditioning. There is a crisis in beliefs (waning square) with the information that comes up.

The Sun also makes a waning square to Uranus the next day on November 17 at 24/25 degrees Scorpio-Aquarius. We are reaching the end of Scorpio. The final insecurities and limitations within us are coming up. Uranus may bring a shock or two to get our attention.

What have you not wanted to face? How is it in your face? What is the larger picture you must now incorporate? How are you being asked to metamorphose? The essence of this time period is to set you free to be who you really are. Face your fears.

Mercury enters Sagittarius for the next three weeks on November 19. Our left-brain must learn how to operate in the right-brain world. Mercury is in the opposite sign of one of its rulerships. The opportunity is to be whole-brained.

Both Scorpio and Sag work with developing intuition and greater awareness. Trust your intuition here. Let it come forth. Quest for your largest picture of the truth. Speak your truth in all its details. Mercury in Sag can gloss over details to paint a picture of what it wants to be the truth. Absolute honesty is a lesson in Sagittarius.

Next, the Full Moon of Taurus brings us a Lunar Eclipse on November 19 at 27/28 degrees Scorpio-Taurus. An annual time to realize emotional self-reliance, and it may elude us with the Lunar Eclipse.

Security issues may be strong. Breathe fully and allow yourself to ask what those emotional buttons are really showing you. Inner security is the only real security. Where is the next level of that for you?

The relationship issues are coming to a head here. Venus is getting ready to turn stationary direct. Love yourself the way you want another to love you. Breathe, exercise, and talk to trusted friends. No one and nothing is worth hurting yourself for or over. Continually ask, “Where is my next level of self-reliance?”

Collectively, these fall months are a time period to, again, visualize peace, be peace. Scorpio can be the bully and Sag can be the know-it-all. This is exactly how U.S. leaders are behaving. If you want peace, be an active voice of peace in your community.

Venus then goes stationary direct on November 20/21 at 0 degrees Scorpio. Back to the beginning of Scorpio at the end of its retro cycle. We get to begin again with Venus through Scorpio, for the third time, to finally get this releasing of limitations and insecurities, and move into more self-reliance. We get one more opportunity to move into healthier relating patterns with others.

By now we are aware of what triggers us in relationships and we need to own our stuff and minimize the projections. If not our partners/friends/co-workers may step away. We can also refuse to allow others to be dependent upon us. How can you love yourself on the deepest levels possible? Answers are here so that you can then give and receive love in healthier, self-reliant ways.

Evolving Venus in Scorpio can be an example of self-empowerment. We can encourage others to take care of their own needs. We can realize deep emotional bonding on soul levels. Venus in Scorpio can be the shaman, metamorphosing self and others into greater and greater self-reliance.

The Sun moves into Sagittarius on November 22, and the Evolutionary Astrology mantra is: I understand the relativity of truth with others. There are many paths Home. Sag helps all of us navigate our way to the same place. Its danger lies in believing there is only one way to get there.

Now we begin the solar month of great debates over who has the truth. Wherever we are on the quest for truth there is always another step. Sooner or later the limitations of our current belief system are revealed to us and we are asked to see a larger picture of truth.

Search for this within yourself. Ask for your next level of understanding the meaning of everything to be revealed. This is the solar month to consciously develop and work with your intuition. Answers can just be revealed within as you connect to the Ultimate Truth.

Mars makes a waning trine to Uranus on November 23 at 25/26 degrees Libra-Aquarius. At its best this aspect can bring groups together for the common good of all concerned. We can each understand the ways to best help our community, and fulfill our role in it.

More commonly, these two planets in air signs want to play a con game here, trying to persuade others that they have the answer. There can be a power game of words. Things can sound ok; however, our emotional body can feel that something isn’t quite right.

Mars in Libra is making a grand trine in air signs with Uranus in Aquarius and Saturn retro in Gemini over the next few days. U.S. leaders may force their choices upon other countries. Things could easily escalate and words could be misunderstood. Mars, Saturn and Uranus are not the best of buddies, as each one likes to be in charge.

Pray peace, be peace. May this grand trine in air signs bring words of wisdom and understanding instead.

Mercury makes a waning sextile to Neptune on November 24 at 8/9 degrees Sagittarius-Aquarius. Surrender to the deeper messages coming through. Let go of old beliefs, and watch how they control your thoughts again and again.

Mars makes a waxing trine to Saturn retro at 27/28 degrees Libra-Gemini on November 26/27. We have the opportunity to create new realities that allow our relationships to harmonize together. The potential is there for all voices to be heard.

This Mars-Saturn-Uranus grand trine in air signs can bring about the great negotiations. Patriarchal principles can manipulate to get things their way. We can create documents that say one thing, and yet actions can be something different. Here again, trine aspects bring that ease of energy that can smoothly move things forward, or smoothly pull a con game. May enough world leaders desire peace, and speak real truth.

Individually, Mars waxing trine Saturn gives us strength and power in our relationships. We have had a lot of relationship reflection the last two months. What do we now want to create with others? Can you create harmony and balance?

We can utilize this air grand trine to find our place in society as well. Each of us works to create our community. How do you want to be a voice? Where do you want to put your energy into action? Opportunities are there, take them.

Mercury makes a conjunction to Pluto on November 26 at 17/18 degrees Sagittarius. A chance to get in touch with our soul’s evolving beliefs. This is a quick aspect, here and gone. We may just repeat an old belief pattern in our head again. Question it. Question every belief you have. Is this true for me?

Sun makes a waning sextile to Neptune on November 30 at 8/9 degrees Sagittarius-Aquarius. This can be a sweet time for intuitive answers to come through. Let any confusion or depression act as a stepping stone to searching for what is wrong with your life. How can you change it? A natural time to commune with God/Goddess.

Finally Mercury makes a waxing trine to Jupiter on November 30 at 18/19 degrees Sagittarius-Leo. Make the most of intuitively searching for whatever you want to know about yourself. Give honesty in order to receive it. Here are the ideas to move forward.

There is a lot to be revealed this month. Pay attention. It may not always be easy to see the truth. Power plays will definitely happen as countries jockey for who is right, and who is in control.

You can reach great insights about yourself. You can learn to love yourself on deeper and deeper levels. Find self-love and therefore peace within, and you will find it in your life. You can understand your social roles and place in your community.

Remember that every being contributes to the collective whole. What you say and do really does make a difference. You are an emotional ripple this month, what do you choose to spread?
