Major realizations of personal truths and beliefs from the depth of our souls are the opportunities for this month. Jupiter has been moving toward an opposition to Pluto and it makes the first of three oppositions on September 4 at 10/11 degrees Gemini-Sagittarius. The other two oppositions follow in Gemini-Sagittarius on October 13, 2000 and May 6, 2001. Almost an entire year for our intuitive right-brain to receive messages concerning the evolving unconscious desires of our soul.

Pluto is the soul in Evolutionary Astrology and its polarity point represents the lessons to learn in this life. Pluto's passage through Sag 1995 - 2008 is a time period for rebirthing our laws, educational systems, intuition and our beliefs via religion and spirituality. The polarity point in Gemini teaches us that there is a relativity to truth and beliefs, or there are many paths home and to each his/her own. Gemini points out the limitations of Sag beliefs.

Jupiter's triple passage in the next nine months over this polarity point of the current soul energy allows all of us to realize where we individually and collectively are being asked to intuitively realize new truths, new ways of looking at things. Jupiter is the natural ruler of Sag and is the planet of intuition - knowing that we know something without knowing how we know it. Jupiter teaches us that there are larger forces of knowledge than our own and we can tap into them. Jupiter helps us learn that the deepest answers come from within.

Jupiter in Gemini is in the opposite sign of its rulership. This in itself can bring awareness and answers. Or polarity and opposition. The choice is ours to defend the past and refuse to look at anything new, to rigidly argue for our way. Or, we can open up to all the new possibilities around us to grow and learn.

Jupiter's interactions with Pluto and Neptune over this next year set the tone for what is to come. Jupiter makes three waxing trines to Neptune in Gemini-Aquarius on July 27, 2000, December 9, 2000 and April 5, 2000. Jupiter is our personal belief system and Neptune represents the collective conscious/unconscious belief systems. We can each tune in as to how best to evolve our personal beliefs with humanity's evolving needs.

Jupiter's oppositions to Pluto will also make sure that any false beliefs and desires of the soul will be brought to the light of day and come crashing down, usually through others pointing it out to us. The quest is to remain open when these messages come and ask how we can change.

Sometimes these evolving beliefs will come in subtle ways that we notice as time passes by (Jupiter-Neptune). Sometimes it explodes into our consciousness (Jupiter-Pluto). Either way we will all look at life differently by next spring.

Sun gets involved in the Jupiter-Pluto dance the beginning of this month. Late September 1 Sun makes a waxing square to Jupiter at 10/11 degrees Virgo-Gemini. Then early the next day the Sun makes a waning square to Pluto at 10/11 degrees Virgo-Sagittarius.

This is energy that is forcing us to see the reality of things. If we have not been facing reality it may not be pleasant experiencing all this feedback. If we have been attempting to get real then the crossroads of the next step is upon us. Sun is in Virgo helping us see the reality of these great revelations coming from the soul. Is this something we can achieve or must we adjust our ideas to what we really can and need to do? Realignment is the theme.

Sun is in Virgo now and the Evolutionary Astrology mantra for Virgo is: I discern with intuitive wholeness. (Please see last month's forecast for details on Virgo). Virgo can be such a beautiful time to grow and realize how we are all a part of the whole. Unfortunately at the end of this Piscean Age and patriarchal conditioning, the Virgo norm seems to be full of criticism, hurting and hating ourselves and others. It is time to change it. Let us shift the self-criticism to self-love. It doesn't require anything from the outside. Just a willingness to love and accept ourselves no matter what, as life brings us the lessons to return to the Universal Source.

Then on September 7 Mercury moves into Libra, the sign of relationships. Through the rest of the month we will find out how well we communicate with others. Successful communication includes listening as well as speaking. Libra, with its ruler Venus, relates to the psychology of hearing, and Mercury relates to the anatomy of hearing. Mercury in Libra asks us to really listen to what another is saying instead of what we want to hear. This way we may effectively discuss what another is talking about versus imposing our thoughts on a subject without any interaction from others. Mercury in Libra teaches us that our ability to listen is just as important as spouting from our own soapbox.

Saturn goes retrograde on September 12 at 0/1 degrees Gemini bringing its annual four month review of reality. Saturn will literally be at 0 degrees Gemini for two months (the middle of August through the middle of October). We are finding lots of changes in our reality structures and right now we may be confused as to what is real for us. We may be finding too many details to take care of in our lives. Saturn's retro cycle lets us determine what we want in our life and what must go.

Saturn is the individuated consciousness in Evolutionary Astrology and it guides our relationship to space and time. Saturn is not very comfortable in Gemini. Saturn likes structure and routine. Gemini wants the opposite, complete freedom to move in any way. So this first Saturn retrograde in Gemini over the next 2-1/2 years will teach us what stubborn patterns (Saturn retrogrades back into Taurus) we must release so that our reality can go with the flow. Life is full of constant changes and its time for Saturn to adapt to reality moment by moment. So if your life feels out of control during the middle of this month ask yourself what you are trying to cling to from the past, and what must be allowed to shift.

Keep in mind that Saturn will make three oppositions to Pluto August 2001 through May 2002 in Gemini-Sagittarius. This is a reminder that the expansive desires and ideas from the Jupiter-Pluto oppositions this winter must stand the test of reality next winter. This Saturn retro will give us subtle messages about the ability of our ideas to really manifest. Pay attention so a future crash isn't necessary.

Full Moon takes place the next day on September 13 at 21/22 degrees Virgo-Pisces. Full Moon in Pisces asks us to be understanding and compassionate with ourselves and others versus critical and deceptive. At the end of the Piscean Age, Full Moons in Virgo and Pisces are always important in showing us how we have been conditioned by patriarchal religions into believing that what we search for is outside of ourselves in the material world, i.e. God is outside of us judging us. Full Moon is Pisces is a time period to realize that what we search for is inside. We must find God/Goddess within us before we see him/her anywhere else.

For the last 2000 - 4000 years we have been conditioned by patriarchal religions to believe God is a male figure outside of us judging us. It is implied that there is a perfect God and we are imperfect. Natural spiritual principles teach us that the Universal Source (God/Goddess) comes from within. Spirituality is an inside job. Natural spiritual principles teach us that the Universal Source is an evolving force, we are cocreators with the Creative Principle. Perfection is a process (Virgo) achieved with unconditional love (Pisces).

The mutable quadrant (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius and Pisces) is highly activated this month. These four signs of the zodiac relate to these natural laws and spiritual principles. At the end of this Piscean Age many of us realize life is vastly removed from natural laws and spiritual principles. Major realizations to be made during this Jupiter-Pluto opposition time period are the changes we each must make to realign ourselves with timeless, universal, natural laws.

Saturn in Gemini - How do I adjust my reality to what is natural law for me?

Lots to ponder this month.

Mars then joins the parade September 16 with its passage through Virgo for 1-1/2 months. How do we act in accordance with natural laws and spiritual principles? Mars is how the unconscious desires of the soul (Pluto) are made conscious and acted upon. We will all find ourselves busy with Mars in Virgo. However, are we just busy-bodies avoiding ourselves on deep levels? Virgo fears the void and fills it up with all kinds of obligations, work, socializations, bad habits, etc. Yet Virgo must face the void to find the Piscean spiritual realm. We must enter the emptiness to really communicate with God/Goddess. The quest with Mars in Virgo is to do what brings us closer to Divine versus procrastination.

On September 18 Mars makes a waxing square to Saturn retro at 0/1 degrees Virgo-Gemini. Adjust, shift, change. How do I want to create my reality? This square has a strong mental edge. Are we moving forward in our highest and best ways? There will be others pointing it out to us if we are not. Adjusting to reality is a bummer sometimes. Striving to make our reality in alignment with natural laws and spiritual principles helps to eliminate the crashes. Ask the inner questions about how best to move outwardly right now.

The Sun moves into Libra on September 22 bringing a change in the air. The annual time period to relate to others. The Evolutionary Astrology mantra for Libra is: I balance a diversity of relationships with my own initiative.

Virgo energy allows us to deflate the Leoian ego by realizing that others are just important as we are. Leo teaches proper use of ego (the servant and helpmate of our soul). Virgo makes sure we adjust our egos so that we may relate to others as equals with Libra.

This month has brought a lot of energy to adjust to life in every way including relationships. Now it is time to move into improving our relationships, all relationships. And again, learning to listen as well as speak. Libra teaches us equality of giving and receiving including when to give and when to not give. Sometimes Libra is so aware of others it forgets about self. Libra can give, give, give and wonder why it feels so used. Libra must learn to balance its needs equally with others' needs. Aries is always there to point out when Libra is selfish (even when Libra isn't), but rarely does Aries admit when it is selfish. So Libra must become the master of balance. What are you trying to balance in your relationships?

The next day on September 23 Sun makes a waxing trine to Saturn at 0/1 degrees Libra-Gemini. Finally a smoother planetary aspect. This time it involves others in our lives helping us make those adjustments to our reality. It is always easier to point out how someone else can change rather than changing ourselves. Listen, and then discern if the information from others is valid for you. If so, adjust again. If, after sincerely listening you disagree, its OK to say thank you but no. This can be a nice time to open up to others in your life. This can also be a time to move forward with your own initiative regardless of others.

Venus moves into Scorpio on September 24. An intense place for Venus after the nice ride through Libra, its own sign of rulership. Venus in Scorpio makes us all too aware of the codependencies and inequalities in our relationships. The need to control in order to feel secure is strong. The lesson for Venus here is self-reliance (Taurus the polarity of Scorpio). The control needs to be self-control to consciously with intent and determination metamorphose those old relationship patterns. We must ask what we have done to create these codependent patterns. Jealousy is insecurity. How can I love myself better?

Venus in Scorpio brings the extremes in love. Nasty, manipulating, controlling behavior of others, or, letting others treat us that way. Or, the deepest, emotional bonding on soul levels. The choice is yours. This is the time to watch for those insecurities which create the unhealthy, relationship patterns and make major changes.

The New Moon in Libra is September 27 at 5/6 degrees Libra. New beginnings in relationships, from new relationships in our lives to rebirthing old ones, including rebirthing our relationship to ourselves. Consciously set intent on how you would like the relationships in your life to grow. Ask where you need equality of giving and receiving in your life. How do you want to relate to yourself?

Mercury joins Venus in Scorpio on September 28. Scorpio brings a deep, intuitive, detective quality to Mercury. Mercury goes below the surface now, searching for what is really going on, what is really being said. Where are we codependent to old thought patterns? Can we mentally look at things differently? Make some major mental shifts? The energy this month can bring even more realizations as Mercury moves into Scorpio.

Finally, Jupiter goes retrograde at 11/12 Gemini on September 29. Jupiter has been very active this month. Intuition has been strong. Now it is time to let go of those personal beliefs that no longer serve us. Pluto has released a lot of information from the depths of the soul. Now Jupiter must weave through it and discard what no longer works. Jupiter is now starting the search for deeper truths.

Jupiter retrograde in Gemini points to Sagittarius, it own sign of rulership. Jupiter is in its element intuiting what is real, what is truth. Gemini still allows Jupiter to make changes as new realizations and beliefs rise up. This is the time period to check out those new desires of the soul and see if they are attainable, and if not, what must be adjusted.

This is the time to commune with God/Goddess from within. With all the energy this month Jupiter retrograde is now ready for that realignment with natural laws and spiritual principles. Ask your questions and listen to the answers that come up for you. How best do you fit in to the larger plan to help humanity evolve? What must you do for yourself? What must you do for others? How are you being asked to change?
